When its days away from Gilchrists 35th birthday, im am concerned over the future of the Australian wicket keeper... theres no doubt that within the next few years, Gilly will probably hang up the boots, or just retire from either the tests or one dayers, to slightly lengthen his career...This is where i pose the question, who will be his replacement... over the last few years haddin has done the job when gilly has been rested, but i see him as a quick fix, at the age of 29, with not an overly great batting ability, but good with the gloves... and by the time gilly retires in haddin could be 32 or 33...Should we be looking for youth, or haddin as a quick fix???
