Who would you want to replace Cressa as Midfield Coach

Should probably be a recently retired midfielder they seem to go well. McGuane has done well though. What about David King. Not quite a midfielder but seems ok.Shaun Hart from Brisbane may be a smokey. Its a big decision considering the success of cresswell and how that benefitted the team.

I'd like us to go for a recently retired player, I saw the name David King. Wonder what he thinks about coaching?

Andy Lovell is an interesting one that has surfaced, suggesting that the Cresswell thing may have been brewing for a while. Didn't he coach a WAFL club this year?

The name i am hearing is Buddha. Bring back the great man. He is in the same mould as Cressa and i believe has done a good appretiship. Apparently he has done great things at Peel Thunder. And didnt the cats say for him to go away and get some experience as to why they wouldnt have him as an assistant in the first place. I think he would be a great addition to the coaching staff. And since he left geelong so has the mullet so maybe he may have to just grow that back so everyone will recognise him.

What about Peter German...He's a premiership coach with Subiaco. Did Bomber Thompson work with him at the Kangaroos?

Subiaco fans can expect an announcement on the future of premiership winning coach Peter German by this weekend.

German had been linked to an assistant coaching position at Glenferrie, but the Hawks coaches box is getting awfully full after the recent appointments of Damien Hardwick and Todd Viney.

Lions general manager Kevin Williamson is confident of retaining the services of German, who was this year's WAFL coach of the year, unless an AFL club pursues him.

"It all depends on whether an assistant coaching role in the AFL becomes available," Williamson said. "But we expect a decision by this weekend."

Steven Hocking is chairman of selectors and while Steven is there, Garry wont. They don't get along.

Coach Carey?

Hi Guys!

This is my first ever post and i was just wondering what everyone's thoughts on moving kenny hinkley into the role of midfield coach and take on someone like wayne carey (one the best CHFs ever to play the game!) to coach the forwards.

Carey has expressed interest in coaching and would be very valuable to our forward structure provided that he doesn't get invited to any parties were alcohol and wives/gfs are present.

Re: Coach Carey?

I don't know. Talented fotballers don't necessarily make talented coaches. I'm not sure that Carey really has the ability to relate to the players in quite the same way cressa did at Geelong and I don't think he'd add much. Has never struck me as deep thinker about the game. Anyway, Hinkley is poorly suited to the midfield role.

As a differnt proposition, what about Mick McGuane? (as long he is banned from the cats casino)
