correct. very few of the churnalists at the diarrhea factory would get jobs in real journalism. apparently dumb rita is in favor of owner censorship.
Anti Woke is another name for old men yelling at clouds. Anything they don't agree with is Woke. Sky is full of these parasites who want to create this narrative. Dean, Paul Murray the list goes on. Add Rita to that list who I'm still trying to work out if she's on Sky as a sideshow or they legit think she's some journalistic guru. SEN turfed her out once they figured out what she's about.are you suggesting dean is a joke?
as soon as i hear the word “woke”, i tune out. same with “influencer”, i might add.

And boxing day which is about a boxing matchWeird how they skipped Christmas and have gone straight to Australia Day.
Feels like Newscorp have cancelled it.
This is huge news, as anyone who has followed the battle on the ABC podcast or TV will understand. Here's a link to the podcast for those who haven't:A HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
early Christmas for decent people everywhere.
My guess is given the state of the US court system he keeps appealing until he finds a friendly judge.
At 93 years of age, time is not on his side to have this binding decision overturned before he shuffles off this mortal coil.My guess is given the state of the US court system he keeps appealing until he finds a friendly judge.
I guess the point is some, rather than one. Some billionaires get to control a big chunk of our media!
Yay!
I've assumed from all recent photos he's already dead.At 93 years of age, time is not on his side to have this binding decision overturned before he shuffles off his mortal coil.
I'm not totally anti-capitalist.This is a great summary of things from the Times...
'James and Elisabeth are both known to have less-conservative political views than their father or brother. If Mr. Murdoch fails to lock in Lachlan’s leadership of the company, he will be unable to ensure that Fox News will remain a right-wing news outlet after his death, putting in jeopardy the legacy of the conservative empire he had spent his life building. In seeking to consolidate Lachlan’s control over this empire, Mr. Murdoch has argued that maintaining the political bent of his outlets — and stripping the voting power of three of his children — is in the financial interest of all his beneficiaries.'
And let that last sentence sink in...

i.e. the right-wing, fact denying Trump political narrative of the Murdoch media empire is a business decision made in the continuing best financial interests of the Murdoch family. It's the sort of off-handed 'good for business' comment that you'd expect from Tony Soprano or Michael Corleone after another mafioso murder or drug deal.
I mean we all knew that but here is old Man Murdoch himself stating it in court as fact. Feck the world and everyone else - my lies are good for my family business.
It's something that should be hurled in the face of everyone working in every branch of the Murdoch empire in Australia.
Elisabeth Murdoch gave one of the most erudite lessons on that matter in her keynote MacTaggert lecture at the 2012 Edinburgh Television Festival. Making it clear that it was not just up to the government and independent regulators to keep business in check, but the organisations themselves had a duty of care and responsibility to the community they serve.I'm not totally anti-capitalist.
But I believe capitalism always needs to be kept under control.
Murdoch saying this like it's normal shows us what happens when we let capitalism run rampant.
