The pro-Liberal propaganda campaign continues. I was in a lift that has a news screen showing Murdoch content. One piece popped up yesterday saying '70 pc of Australians need a rate cut in February to stay on top of their mortgage'. As if mortgage arrears are suddenly going to rise from 3% to 70%, after all this time. I couldn't stop myself from muttering, 'Bullshit.'

go grace. not sure whether it's still the case but you could buy them via "the shot" website

I admire and respect Grace Tame for her work for sexual assault survivors. I appreciate she has the eminent right as an Australian of the year to her view. I don't even have a problem with the tshirt that she wore today.

But if your aim is to "dismantle this corrupt system, if we want legitimate climate action, equity, truth, justice, democracy, peace, land back, etc, then resisting forces like Murdoch is a good starting point"?

I don't know that she should be posing all smiling with Albanese, who leads the greatest failure of a left wing government that our country has ever seen. When you consider "the glare" with Morrison, she kind of looks like a hypocrite.

Movements begin with starting somewhere, and the corporate media is the biggest force of evil. Sure, Albanese is a feckless disappointment, but he's still better than Dutton, even if only by default, and we know which of those two is Murdoch's preferred PM.

Unfortunately she is an example of what many have become. They treat one side of politics like its their football team.

It doesn't matter what the parties or inderviduals do they only see it one way including both State and Federal politics.

It's dumb and sad especially in Australia when in comparison to some parts of the world they are not that different

The amusing thing is that this thread started in 2014 predicting the imminent demise of Murdoch. Over 10 years later, the left are more furiously than ever frothing at the mouth about how Murdoch is the reason for the rise of right wing politics and the world wide shit show that is left wing governance.

The OP could not have been more wrong. The constant whining about Murdoch could not be more humorous!

**** off

Grace Tame recognises Murdoch's damage to the world

When that prick dies there will be a thread here with many celebrating and you won't be able to do shit about it

But you'll probably be in there having a cry about your billionaire daddy's death and telling people to stop celebrating

I have no time for the Murdoch press but I don't get outraged by it.

Grace Tame can wear what she likes. I am dissapointed Albo as PM would encourage /turn a blind eye to it. I think if you are in opposition or maybe the Greens you get away with it but as PM I think it looks a bit silly.

Nice melt, but I would have thought that, by any measure, governance by the ALP in government is far far superior to that of the Liberal party under Morrison and Abbott.
Of course we'd have differing opinions because mine aren't dictated to me by a media oligarch.

she’s an activist and if i or you had been through what she’s been through while having to endure the lies and half-truths the diarrhea factory circulated i imagine we’d use every opportunity at our disposal to highlight it too.

and the ultra-right nutjobs at the diarrhea factory are having conniptions. loving it.

Was a stunt that really shows how forgotten and irrelevant she has become…
All done to try and over shadow someone else and their big moment.
