Seriously though you're right in that it's risky gambling, I'd never put more than a few bucks on it but it does make the game just that little bit more interesting if you're a neutral supporter like me.

Another fun thing to do is the Norm Smith drinking game....

(1) Write all the players' name on pieces of paper and get each of your mates to pick one out of a hat.

(2) Make up a big bowl of potent punch.

(3) For every possession your player gets, you have to scull a cup of punch.

(4) For every behind, 2 cups, for every goal 3 cups.

(5) Whoever picks the NSM has to scull the remaining punch in the bowl at the end of the game.

That is our GF game, same deal, but to make it better we have to take 2 or 3 players...makes the half time kick around messy..
