You got the wrong Des mate

Tuddy certainly liked number 8 - because when he Captain/Coach of the Dons he didnt wear number 1 which some would choose in that position , instead he stuck with number 8

Sorry but not sure what that has to do with being Collingwood's Greatest Number 8. Fothergill was a Brownlow Medallist, Collingwood Team of the Century and probably in the 5 most talented players to ever represent the club.

You want to brush up on your Collingwood history a bit - Des Tuddenham wore number 8 for Collingwood

Couldnt careless about Brownlow Medals - however a Captain who can kick 7 match winning goals on a permanent hff in a big 2nd semi final (1966) against a quality opponent

And read what the late Bobby Davis had to say about that performance - "No one ever played a better Captains game than Tuddenham pulled out of the hat for Collingwood and i doubt anyone will put in one equal to that . A half forward flanker who can bulldoze 7 goals in a finals match is a coaches dream . In Tuddys book it is a case of Collingwood 1st and Sticking plaster last . Where angels fear to tread he is 1st in the queue "

Thats is some rap

Never said a word about what number Tuddy wore. Wow he kicked 7 from a HFF. Fothergill kicked 9 in a game from a HFF, kicked 7 five times from a HFF and 6 a ridiculous amount of times. He also kicked 6 in a semi, 5 in a prelim and 4 in a GF all from a HFF and playing on ball. Tuddy was good but does not come close to Fothergill. Leave the Collingwood history to Collingwood people.

Trent Bianco clearly in a class of his own at the top.

Phil Krakouer
Daniel Wells
Brent Crosswell

Probably in that order. HM to Robert Scott, best journeyman to wear the number

My thoughts exactly. Phil Krakouer was a star in the 80's and one of the most exciting players in the game.
