Maybe your right lemons, but we at Carlton can actually see the end of those dark times. I still think and I have always though that Tambling is a good player, don't know much about your club and the development process etc. But I just think someone should sit him down and say, hey just run, use your pace, skill etc and take the game on. He seems to be scared to play his natural game.

Apathy is fast overtaking anger. I'm a member of more than 20 years, I admire those that are going to support the club after this season, but I feel like it's probably time I concentrated on other things.

Makes me think of that match when Port was playing the WB @ Aami a few years back and the Dogs were up something like 85 - 7 and it wasn't even half time and the camera zooms in on this bloke holding up a sign that read

Maybe if wallace lasts to next Saturday one of our witty fans will come up with something similar
Probably the first time I have EVER questioned WHY I support this club today, every other team bar Fremantle appears to be going in the right direction, playing kids and improving however so slightly, but we are constantly in a landslide going backwards.
I have remained as positive as I could've over the last 4 weeks, but today was the first time I felt like smashing one of those piss weak players that were out on the field, it gets said a lot, but a little league team would have been better than Richmond were today.
I really don't know why I bother to turn up each week and cheer these gutless, piss weak excuse of a football club, my blood runs yellow and black, it has for the 20 years of my life, but I don't know if it is in my heart anymore, each year I get my membership each week I turn up expecting to see the resurgence of the Richmond Football Club as a super power club that everyone feared to play, as I have heard we were in prior to 1980, but it just doesn't come, will it ever? Please, Please, PLEASE DO SOMETHING! PLEASE SHOW SOMETHING!!!!!!

i hear you brother, i lived through the miserable 80's following this side, then came the almost death of the club in the early 90's followed by our "glory" year of 95 and that great semi final win over the bombers.
Then misery again through to the year 2000 before we turned into the new century with another finals experience in 01 and all seemed good before we headed back down again. All was not lost a few years later though when we said good riddence to spud the dud and finally got a great coach in plough wallace!!??!!
The draft of 04 with 5 picks in the top 20 would fix all our woes and with wallace and miller leading us the glory years would come... well we said goodbye to miller and finally showed a bit winning 8 ot the last 11 to finish a stong 9th!! In 09 we would definately make the finals... well just to top it off we get a former brownlow medalist and champion in little cuz who surely teamed with richo and the young guns would take us into the finals??!!?? Surely??!!
Well 4 rounds in 09 is gone and so is wallace... but don't dispear fellow tiger fans, along will come another coach, maybe a malthouse, hardwick or buckley or dare i say it campbell and take us on another 5 year rebuild... Oh the joy of the ride.....

Couchy already posted a reply to this. We know we still have a long way to go, but a few more steps for us. But compared to the days when 10+ hammerings were par for the course for us, we can actually see our list developing. In two years we will be ready to challenge the top flight teams, this year and next is more about fine tuning, culling the list, and more development etc.

In twenty years of following Richmond, I have never been so dissillusioned with the club. I would never change my club but today I am so flat and exhausted by backing up for the same shit, year in and year out. I hope I can look back upon today and go 'I was there when we hit absolute rock bottom.' Our gameplan is like two virgins having sex, no one really knows what they're doing.
I was looking at a name change but why should I bother.

I feel the same, I'm not even angry or frustrated I just feel flat and tired and I've only been following us since the early 90s. I can't imagine what it's like for the supporters that lived through the 80s. I guess it's like Marge Simpson says you have to stick it out to the bitter end, even if you picked the loser.
Watching a lonely, tired old Richmond supporter put his head between his hands halfway through the 4th and mutter to himself 'my whole life i've picked the loser, i've ****ed everything up, everything! god, i hate this shit! why do i always pick the loser?!' was pretty much the last straw for me. i just deflated and gave up. on the other hand, the korean i took loved the game and tried to placate me by saying she'd support the tiges. i don't know why i didn't talk her out of it.
really feel for you guys at the moment. Being a passionate Golden State Warriors fan (NBA) I kind of know what you're going through (14 years straight of no play offs) and it sux. Really gets to you mentally.

I'm over this season already. I couldn't give a **** about 2009 anymore, which is very disappointing as its only 4 rounds in.

We've been putting up with crap for 27 years. You guys have put up with the same crap for only a quarter of this time.

I really feel sorry for Tigers Supporters. Richmond is a proud Victorian Club with alot of history, and it pains me to see a club suffer from very POOR coaching. You lost 5 good years of rebuilding on Wallace. he couldnt coach WB and he cant coach Richmond. Look at what Rocket has done with the WB's.
I listen to the radio and I hear about bad drafting and I just cringe. What a load of rubbish. You have so many top 20 drafties in your team. Add to that Richo, Bowden, Deludio (who in my opinion is an absolute star at any other team), Foley, Simmonds, King, Brown, Johnson, Tuck. Theres no such thing as bad drafting, only bad coaching.
Make no mistake, the coach can break or make a team. With the class of players that you have in your team. The only rebuild you need is to get a coach that will get the best game out of your players because there is no way that Wallace is. You bring in a Leigh Mathews, and youll see Finals every year.
