Don't think it has anything to do with a sell out, more likely Better Homes and Gardens was getting spanked in the ratings by Master Chef and ch7 have decided the footy was the best way to fight back.

No they are showing a delay coverage next week, just saw it in the promo.

The delay is only on the digital signal, if you watch it on an analog signal then it is virtually in sync with the radio. There is a delay on all digital channels, not just 7 broadcasting football.

You get the same delay with digital radio.
If you really wanted to you could listen to the footy on digital radio then the two delays should be close to the same.

Shouldn't matter whether the game is sold out or not, the game should be live regardless.
It has a negligible effect on crowds, and it increases the TV audience by hundreds of thousands.

The digital delay is an intersting issue we have 2 digital tellies and one seems to run 5 or so seconds ahead of the other (no idea why).

Havn't really compared them both to the radio broadcast, perhaps something to test in the future.

Oh regarding the delay telcast again net week... ch7 sux that is all.
