Why do you say that? All indications were that we were right into Kavanagh. Obviously been dying for a classy genuine mid. Any rationale for your call?

Mckenzie can (and will) play as a mid, has the quality disposal you're very keen for and doesn't have a history of serious injuries.

last year North supporters (not necessarily you) were panning us for taking a HB who can (and will) play as a mid, with silk disposal and no (genuine) injuries over an apparently genuine mid...

It was more so just an opportunity to hang shit after that awesome Dodoro Atley = Judd video. The rest just went from there.

But hamstring tendon injuries in kids are bad. We went through it with David Trotter. Talented kid, first round pick, terrible hammies which still break down. Heppel had a reported knee issue, or was it OP?, which had no effect on his late season form. EK missed a lot of footy, and late in the year too. Many, many more questions over him than Heppel. Tom Swift type questions. Still worth the risk though.

yeah, that I understand :)

it's one of those ones. If he didn't have the hammies, we'd never have got him. Cross fingers. He'll be either boom or bust you'd think, and nothing in between.

Kavs better off at the scum.

They need someone to keep Gumby company in rehab.

Well if he is takes 4 weeks off for a corky he may want to sit out round 1. As long as Essendon keep drafting soft prima donnas we will continue to bash them and take the 4 points.

End of the day Zaka won their B&F and was ranked 405th in 1%ers. Softness is rewarded at Windy Hill.

Nay, it's a prerequisite.

We don't need more mids, outside defensive and offensive flankers we need.

Teffy's 'Meat Grinder' is going to chew on these flogs come round 1.

Agreed. Both picks make sense to me, confused me pre-draft there was so much talk about North getting yet another midfielder.

The more relevant ones, to me, are Clay Smith, to the Dogs, & Sheridan to Freo, over Kavanagh.

Probably as simple as the fact that WB and Freo rated the kids they took higher than Kavanagh.

Much the same reason we would have taken McKenzie. Apart from unfounded rumours and speculation there has been nothing concrete to suggest that we were in anyway into Kavanagh.

At the end of the day, everyone is happy

Dogs defo picked for position - inside hardness. Replace Ward.
