I am relentless, the Carlton people on here are pretend Carlton people,
They are all socialists and would have no idea what being ruthless and succeeding at all costs means,

Happy with 5th and being knocked out by last years wooden spooners?
How is that development?

Hampson had to play last night, Naita and Cox dominated us and we got rolled by 3 points, If i had my way, he would be gone

Fantastic to see a realistic, aspirational and mature Carlton poster on this forum. Bravo

Having GhostofPP agree with your point of view doesn't bode well for your initial point.

He's clueless - and it seems you are as well.

Realistic, aspirational and mature? Please.

Making a point and backing it up by saying SEN callers agree with you is a fantastic way of showing us that you belong on the Bay.

What does last year have to do with anything? They finished 4th this year.

We finished 8th last year and finished 5th this year, looks like development to me. Even without moving up the ladder, basically every single player has improved.

I'm glad that you are getting nowhere near having your way.

So anyone who disagrees with you is clueless.

As are the plebs who jam Talkback to lambast Ratten whenever you lose

I know it's been a familiarly disappointing 24 hours, but at least acknowledge the masses and consider the possibility that your coach might not be much chop

Or, perhaps you know more than everyone?

You were agreeing with the bloke who, for instance, not only wanted to play an injured ruckman against the most dynamic ruck duo in the game, but thought that that is what would win it.

Not only that, but he seems to solely attribute Hampson's not playing to Ratten, who would barely make up 20% of the selection process, with part of that process being our captain.

You'd excuse Jeremias for questioning how 'clued in' you were based on the above, especially considering the reputation of much of your posting, even on your own board.

Your piss-weak backhander was obviously lost on the Ghost as well...

No, not at all.

You are clueless due to the following:

1) You use SEN callers to back up your argument
2) You called GhostofPP realistic, aspirational and mature
3) Your posting history

As I said - head to the bay because it is clear that you are far more suited to the posting style of those that frequent that board.

We better re sign him. Would be a big mistake to replace him IMO.

Would be absolutely gutted if they didn't.

He has been fantastic this year and continues to develop himself and his players.

I don't think he could have done much better this year TBH.

He got beaten in the box a few times this year but will be all the better for it I say!

He is developing with his players and it's been great to watch. I really hope the journey continues

Cry me a river. You lost and you were probably on SEN today bitching abut umpires/ Ratten/ the lack of Cotchin/ Judd's "long season"/ Ratten again/ Bryce's unwillingness to play with pain

Forgive me for pointing out some facts, but you can't buy flags like you used to do. You'll need to work much harder...

Another fact: Port offered you pick 9 for Hampson. Regrets?

Enjoy Bali

The masses? You honestly think based on a couple of boat rockers on BF and SEN callers that the majority of Carlton supporters think Ratten can not coach and want him gone?

Tell me, what is your interest in this? You hate Carlton, are almost never objective when it comes to Carlton and would love for us to make bad moves in order to lessen our chances of having success. Yet for some reason, you are trying to make us see the light and do something you think will improve out team, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Yes, Carlton supporters on BF would be infinitely more clued up about our club and its coach than you would. You just comment to get bites.

Wait a second, one minute these fine SEN callers represent the Carlton masses and we should sack Ratten based on them. The next minute you ridicule these callers for their 'bitching'.

Stop trolling. Nobody is amused.

Who's crying?

I most certainly was not on SEN today. Have only ever called up once and it was a few years ago to say that the Saints should trade Kosi before he loses all currency he may have.

What has Port supposedly offering us pick 9 for Hampson a few years back got to do with this thread? Clearly you find it difficult to stay on topic.

Cotchin is exceptionally relevant to this thread though.....

You haven't pointed out any facts. All you did was try put forward a ridiculous argument and back it up with even more ridiculous "evidence" in the form of GhostofPP's silly post and the beliefs of some SEN listeners.

Yep - you are perfect for the bay :thumbsu:

I think Ratten is a good coach who has achieved a pass mark in every year he has been senior coach. Because of that he does deserve another contract. Although I still am not sure if he is the man to take us to the next level. If Mick Malthouse or Paul Roos let the club know that they are available than I think it would be stupid for the club not to talk to them. And why that may be harsh on Ratten it may be in the best interests of the club to sign MM or PR because at the end of the day everyone involved wants what's best for the club.
In contrast keeping Ratten and turning down Mick could be the best move. No one truly knows the correct call. I'm glad it's a decision that I don't have to make and I have full faith in Kernahan and Swann making the right decision.
Ideally for Carlton would be if Ratten came out of contract at the end of 2012. Had a discussion with some friends last night on the positives and negatives of a 1 year contract. What are people's thoughts on that?
