Carlton have won two flags in the last 41 years. With the current list of chokers that will not be changing anytime soon.

O flags in 29 years.
2 flags in 41 years.

Oh my
Only one less than your own crowd of serial grand final chokers mate.

Maybe it's got to do with salary cap and paying over 1 million dollars for a half back doesn't sit right with the club? They also have TDK and Weitering contracts to negotiate this year and that Million doesn't allow much for negotiations. Plus , he ain't no Lauchie Schultz
But hey, I'm just a supporter what would I know
So you're now suggesting Carlton's ability to trade in much needed talent is hamstrung by the current position of your salary cap?

This despite when it was suggested as another reason as to why this current iteration of a Carlton rebuild would not eventuate in a flag, we were told we didn't know what we were talking about?

Well, well, well....

Strange. It's not like Carlton to have an issue with the salary cap. Maybe Visy have run out of brown paper bags.

But seriously, Carlton couldn't have foreseen they'd have to renegotiate Curnow's contract to include a clause about playing finals.
Curnow's manager is playing hard ball. Starting position is "as you've seen, my client doesn't get out of bed in September for less than $1mill a game."

Didn’t Geelong just play in a preliminary final with a similarly old list?
Nah apparently we plan on playing everyone until they are 50 and have no plans on rejuvenating the list ever. Delist Ed Allan and Nick. Back out of the Perryman deal and give up on the chase for Peatling. That'll be the go

Problem for the Pies list is that you’ve got barely anyone of note under 28yrs of age coming through, in comparison to the Cats who have quite a few.

It’s why you fell away as soon as you got a few injuries in 2024.

1x top 10 pick in the list under 28yrs of age.
You’ve got Nick D and then no one.

You like this stat. I'm not sure why as it's extremely cherry picked. I suppose if we added Aaron Francis and Will Phillips, we'd have thrice as many. Age trumps everything on Bigfooty though, never footballing ability.

Well, it’s a pretty clear window into why you completely dropped off in 2024.

Ned Long was getting games.

I just want to say shoutout to the Carlton FC for being better than the Pies this year and making finals so that we could have a bye week 1.

I think I might change my support to Carlton for next season. They did right by us.

You should be thanking the AFL for fixturing Carlton with double up games against Richmond and North Melbourne.

The AFL do make me laugh though.

Pies had double up games against Richmond in 2018 and 2019, after Richmond came good briefly in 2017. Obviously 2020 was a reduced season with no double-ups, and no return games against Richmond since.

Surely we're due in 2025?

Ok malaka.

2007 was the last time Collingwood copped a double up with Richmond after the Tigers missed finals (they finished 9th in 2006)

Ok malaka.
Oh, look at who it is… you’re the same guy that “lolled” at any post last year that said Pies weren’t going to go B2B.

How did that work out for you?

Oh no.

The greatest of burns again!

Ha, ha - 'Youse guys didn't go back to back!'
That’s not even the burn, it’s the head in the sand posting of Ctracks and all the “lol” reacts they handed out, that were proven to be rose colored bluster.

Perryman is a net plus to the midfield and Ed Allan will be ready to play bulk games
Perryman is a role player. Remains to be seen if he can even cut it as a full time mid and same for Allan.
