The kid has unbelievable talent but I worry about his mentality/toughness.

Of course we, as fans, can not measure this in stats, but i am sure the coaching staff can.

If Bucks plays him most weeks, I am sold as Bucks doesn't accept weak mentality.

Why do you worry about his Toughness/Mentality? He seemed to be good with those Tonight.

He is more a Outside Player then Inside

Think it was Buckley who said a few weeks ago the Hoskin-Elliott was treading water in the first half of the preseason, but had turned it around on the track after Christmas. While he's had injury issues at GWS I wonder if his training there also wasn't the best and the two combined held him back from being more consistent. Always looked a talent and he could be one of the classy x-factor players we need.

Did not hear that but Great To Hear that he Came Back with a Better Attitude he had when he came here. Also getting Comfortable would also help.

He has a Ton of X-Factor about him

He just seems to drift in and out of games.

Almost only has a go only when he has to.

Hope I am wrong.

I think that comes from Being Injured and not having a Clear Run. Was good in 2014 when he had one

So you say he is a Lazy Player and only Goes when he feels like it?

There's an element of that and Buckley acknowleged it going off Barrackers earlier post, but it isn't quite that black and white.

I can't help looking at him and thinking Daisy pre 2010. An exciting talent that can make the amazing look simple and the simple look amazing, but he can't put it all together over 4 quarters.

Once Daisy developed that up and back transition running through an increased workrate he went next level. WHE can do that, IMO, if anything he looks made for it given his bodyshape and speed. It just doesn't happen overnight. Bo Jackson was a remarkable athlete back in the early 90's capable of being an All Star in the NFL and MLB for mine WHE could do worse than using him as a role model to become the best he could be.

To touch briefly on last night (not much point in going deep into it) it was a toss up between him and Fasolo as to who looked more disinterested yet he still had an impact. If he kept that baseline through the entire season I think he'd be close to a lock and he was going half rat power!

I agree with the Young Daisy Comparison. He has the Excitment of a Young Daisy but WHE is now 23.

WHE is a Better user of the Ball then Daisy but might be too outside at the Moment where Daisy loved the Contested side.

WHE needs to learn to run both ways too

I tend to agree with the article, form can be affected by fitness and time on the park. This kid has talent in spades, lets hope we can keep him fit.

Would not be shocked if in 2 years time our best 3 players are Adams, Treloar and WHE, thank you GWS.

They say thank you for Heater, Hopper, Taranto and unnamed 2017 recruit in return. All three were and will continue to be fantastic additions who I'm happy to have at the club, but we can't overlook the price we paid for them! Yin and Yang type scenario.

Love this extract from the article:

'...when he drifted across a pack like a falling leaf to pluck a one-handed mark late in the last quarter and kicked a goal.'

Drifted like a falling leaf? A very unfooty-like analogy. Or is it a metaphor?

Whatever, will store that one for future use.
I think you're reading way too much into that, VP! It was a nice mark though, wasn't it?! WHE has some real talent, if (he stays fit and) we can see four-quarter efforts from him we will have a top player on our hands, and the price we paid for him will be quickly forgotten.

I have been working away and missed the live feed but after watching the replay super excited..
How was the one hander more please!!!

I reckon both clubs have had some win-wins. But it's fair to say that GWS have the upper hand in negotiations with all their draft pick and them picking and choosing their fights. I reckon we've done really well considering, Elliott, Adams, Treloar, WHE, that is potentially a huge coop. GWS can be happy with what they have but lets face it they are in a much better position than all clubs.
