Will Kent Kingsley go down as one of Geelong's best forwards?

True but only with 57, 33, 48 and 57 goals to his name. Will be probably their best in that little period. But assuming you mean of all time, absolutely no chance in the world. There were and will be plenty better than him. That Ablett guy who used to play he was alright, probably a bit better to name one.

I don't think he was being serious.

He will.
And thats because Geelong are an average football club that has very few champions that have played for them.
He would probably make their team of the century.

Once upon a time the entire league was envious of our scoring power. We still hold the records for highest score and highest season aggregate. Offhand, I can think of Wade, Lidner, Brownless, Ablett, Stoneham, Burns that I would rate above Kingsley and that is without even looking at stats.

Both Chapman and Ablett jnr should well push him down further.
If Geelong put another one of their better players in his position that player would soon outrank him.

FWIW, I recall Kingley kicking 4 or 5 in his first game for North (I think a home game against Port). The media were talking him up ; I said to my mate, 'He's not up to standard is he ?', and he agreed.

Nothing has changed my view since then. (Even when he kicked 8 against North earlier this year, that only went to show how badly our 'defence' was travelling).

Kent Kingsley Wayne or Wade was a very average footballer, has a good job working with the supermodel Elle Macpheson has her fitness person, or something like that. Lucky man

Let Kent Kingsley take all the glory now, its fairly obvious that Matthew McCarthy will take over this mantle in years to come.:D
