Yes. In my thinking at least it's not so much about getting in before Hill goes out or down, it's about getting in before Petrenko/Cheney go up for the $100-150k turnaround. So unless you've got your eye on Rance, I still think trading him out is the way to go.

I didn't think that the weekend teams had to be named 'til this afternoon. I wonder where the Footy show plucked the teams from?

Or am I on the wrong track and were weekend teams named last night as well?

It would more than likely have been one of the producers, or graphic artist, who had their best guess of the potential teams.

Suban as a backman has done a little in each match. Hill as backman and on baller has done next to nothing. He seems to be the more likely to miss.

I don't think Hill is ready yet, needs to spend 3 or 4 weeks in the WAFL IMO.

I was more comfortable keeping the Fremantle kids on my bench for round 3 than I was trading for Cheney or Petrenko TBH.

I felt that if I chased either one of them they would miss out on Sunday and a trade would be wasted.

Only thing worse than having a S.D Thompson or Proud sitting on your bench all year with two games under his belt and nothing else would be wasting a trade to get them. This could be proven wrong though this afternoon.

Will get some $$$'s (a $ maybe) out of Hill or Suban at least and perhaps go after Rance or a returning Hurley when they look more secure in thier sides 22.

Hill would only need one decent 60 - 70 to have his price rise a little, although this dosn't look likely on current form.

Fremantle has named defender Greg Broughton for his first game, against Adelaide at Subiaco.

The 22-year-old played every pre-season match for Freo.

“He doesn’t get rattled and he has no fear about putting it on the line,” coach Mark Harvey said.

“He’s dogged, determined, hates to be beaten and plays with the desire that you look for."
