We paid a 2nd+3rd for Fantasia and he had a great first year. Hasn't done anything since. North were crowing a year into the Polec/Pittard trade. We've had a nasty habit of paying full price for someone who has something hanging over their head where we get basically no upside and if the knock on them crops up, we're behind. I'll admit he surprised today, but to pretend he is a guarantee of getting fit, staying fit, and playing consistent football, and we should price him as someone who will do that is nonsense. You got unlucky. He wanted to leave when his value was at its lowest. We've had it before with Impey. We might have had it if Bergman wanted out last year. If you somehow convince Georgiades to leave Port and he doesn't put up a big year, you'll be offering a trade based on current form, not early promise, not potential upside.
He's just such a natural, genuine forward. Doesn't overthink things. Pure goal sense.

He was great fun to watch yesterday. His football goal sense, lightning quick hands, chasing and tackling were gold. Hope he brings that sort of footy every week.

He’s a cream on the top player we threw a lifeline to, and if he keeps on the straight and narrow (which he seems keen to do) he might see out some more good games with us.
