Rioli out again, very surprised considering he was convinced on Monday that he was playing SANFL or AFL this week. Hope he's alright.
Not playing SANFL?

* Edit : Hinkley's presser today he re-iterated personal reasons *

Still disappointing no matter what is happening, that he's now missed 7 weeks.

He's in Adelaide?

He's training?

He's doing community work with the club?

He thought he was playing?

We are probably a 3-4 goal better side if he lined up against Brisbane?

Possibly it's ok for the media to ask questions at this point.

We are grown-ups and supportive of Willie regardless but the non communication to members and supporters is going to lead to every theory imaginable being floated.

From the PAFC website...

Specialist forward Willie Rioli will remain unavailable while he deals with personal issues around his family needs.
"We are optimistic once he is right, we will let Willie play," Hinkley said.

Because being a late out for 4 straight weeks followed by simply not playing at all (despite training the past week) is highly uncommon.
He was a late out against Brisbane because his calf still wasn't ready.

He was selected in the extended squad for St Kilda, but not in the final 23 because of illness.

He was not selected for the game against the Dogs. He pulled out of the SANFL side because of personal reasons. And not available this week because of them.

Not everyone is choosing to believe all of that.

Sounds like the sabbatical is not of his choosing.

And what we know about the league's 3 strike policy, any history of being a late out is a red flag and deserves to be questioned
