Willits Moving to Westies

Just on Westhoff, does anyone here think like me that this guy once he bulks up could be as good as, if not better than Sellar despite all the pre-draft hype surrounding the latter? I know Centrals are a good team, but the Hoff is really showing great signs in their forward structure.

Yes I do, but I think its going to be very hard for Justin to put on the muscle required to even get to the level Willits is at now. Like I said in another thread I feel Justin will be a project player that will have to spend quite a few years in the SANFL before he cracks the 22.

the problem is and i think you will find out over the next year or two, he is a better chb then a forward. his kicking has not improved over the last three years, Willo reads the ball alot better from defence. He has played more games with glenelg at chf but his best football has been at chb. Willo is a good kid and wish him all the best as i think he will play many games with port. But williams can be very stubborn at times i hope he looks at willits with a open mind.

I'm not absolutely convinced that Ryan's best position will be full forward, nor that we will definitely need him to play there.

If he plays good, reliable footy at CHB for Glenelg, it probably does say something about where he is best suited. By all means try to develop him up forward, but if Cockshell, Westhoff and White can all play decent AFL quality footy in the longterm, Ryan might find he is of most service to us, helping out Chappy and Carlile in defence.

Still can't accept that he doesn't fit into Glenelg's best 22, and if they can't find a spot for him in their side, then by all means he should be sent to another local club.

The sooner the AFL go´s back to having a reserves competition the better .
Port and Adelaide should both have reserve sides where they can develop players how they choose to.
I can see the point of view of SANFL sides also. They are not concerned with the AFL(although they love the money )They just want to win the best way they can and to have players pulled out of their side to play AFL and sent back when they are not required is certainly upsetting to the clubs ,the player in question and the SANFL players who feel like second class citizens when they are actually sometimes better footballers.

I'm a bit surprised to see Boak discussed on this thread.

I was under the impression he had a leg injury, and i presume that once hes back to full fitness he'll be back in the Bays' league side.

into the finals for the first time since 1999.

Great way to finish an article for the Bays.

Don't these small-minded coaches understand that having a chance to play 1 game in the AFL is better than winning 10 premierships in the SANFL of 2007. They need to get over themselves.

You can't honestly say SANFL coaches should play players in the positions they are told.
Absolutely they should. Otherwise, they should pass in the minidraft.

If the coaches want to put their hands up for these AFL players in the SANFL minidraft, they are accepting some free talent in return for conditions on how they are played. They don't get to ignore the conditions just because its not convenient.

I appreciated Weidemann for his toughness when he played. Willits with his big body needs to work on using it more like he has started to, hopefully the weed will help him develop that further.

Willits has been named in a forward pocket in West Adelaide's league side after several players (incl Cupido who Willits replaces) were suspended by the club for a disciplinary breach.

As long as you don't take Grose away from us I will be happy.

Well as long as you dont start playing him in the ruck then we'll be happy!
