Partially aroused......but not mortified
In direct lines in and out of the city you can get anywhere, but any other deviation and your looking at complex and long routes. You can't not have a car and live in Adelaide. Not sure if it’s changed drastically over the last 20 years but the best thing about Adelaide was how everything is so close.
You could get just about anywhere pretty quickly on public transport.
Different in Perth, no car your screwed.
And all the good stuff like wineries, hills, river etc. needs driving. In direct lines in and out of the city you can get anywhere, but any other deviation and your looking at complex and long routes. You can't not have a car and live in Adelaide.
Yeah we used to drive North and South for wineries. Still used to take the bus to Schutzenfest, that was such a good feed and piss up when it was in Hahndorf. And all the good stuff like wineries, hills, river etc. needs driving.
Wilson parking price gouging. Tautology in practice.
Remember getting a lot of tickets in my uni days, mid 90s, they were like $11.Last Friday before Xmas I went in to town to get a last present which was $25.
Read the sign wrong (thought it was 9-6 but it was 10-6)… so it was quiet, parked a good 10min south of Gawler place and walked in - hardly a soul about, just people getting ready for their Xmas shows.
25min in and out, a nice $114 parking ticket for me when I got back. I mean they just employ Mike Smithson to hide in bins and hand out tickets.
This city…

I know this is completely off topic, but don't you just want to punch people in the nose that say "Well if you don't do the wrong thing, you won't get fined". It's like various levels of government need and want people to do the wrong thing. It is a massive income stream for them. If people didn't drink, smoke, speed slightly, cross an intersection as a light turns red, Overstay their alotted parking time etc these government beauracracies would be billions out of pocket. **** Them. Hypocritical campaigners.I read the previous financial year it was over 10 Million they raked in..... it's basically an income on the spreadsheet. I hate going near the city because of it. Do they wonder why people head to Marion and the likes?
I was lucky enough to go to Underdale... no fines.

An Uber doesn't even cost that much unless you are a fair way away. I caught ubers to most games i attended and it was only the finals that i noticed the price gouging there.
I need to drink beers to get through a Port game too.
Park at Paradise Interchange which is free. Catch bus in, which is "free". Don't have to spend $50 on food to get parking fee waved.A good option if you want to drive is to park at the Convention Centre car park if you get there early enough. If you spend $50 on food & drink at Home Ground (even if it is between a number of you) the parking is free.
