Not sure if it’s changed drastically over the last 20 years but the best thing about Adelaide was how everything is so close.
You could get just about anywhere pretty quickly on public transport.
Different in Perth, no car your screwed.
 
An Uber doesn't even cost that much unless you are a fair way away. I caught ubers to most games i attended and it was only the finals that i noticed the price gouging there.

I need to drink beers to get through a Port game too.

In direct lines in and out of the city you can get anywhere, but any other deviation and your looking at complex and long routes. You can't not have a car and live in Adelaide.

Last Friday before Xmas I went in to town to get a last present which was $25.

Read the sign wrong (thought it was 9-6 but it was 10-6)… so it was quiet, parked a good 10min south of Gawler place and walked in - hardly a soul about, just people getting ready for their Xmas shows.

25min in and out, a nice $114 parking ticket for me when I got back. I mean they just employ Mike Smithson to hide in bins and hand out tickets.
