No 5 is alive
Only seen a few games this year but l think that United would have a fairly good show if they have there full list on the ground. Find someone who can keep Johns quiet and they will have to work out a different way threw the big sticks Mibus could be the man. Stawell on there day aswell l think. After seeing Tuckey a couple of weeks back l have to eat my words, if he fires he will make any opponent look secon rate, also Stawell have a good balance runners and hard nuts so anything could happen. Who do we think will take out the dreaded SPOON.Can anyone stop the Melons from Horsham from winning 5 in a row?
Just wondering thoughts on where the wimmera football league stacks up against other country victorian leagues??
1.Ovens and Murray
2.Goulburn Valley
3.Mornington Pen
4.Hampden
5.Bendigo
6.Murray
7.West Gippsland
8.Centreal Murray
9.Wimmera
10.Western Border
11.Sunryaisa
12.North Centrel.
Very hard to compare but O & M and the GV by far are the best leagues. Most clubs in each of these leagues would have at least 1 ex AFl player and plenty with VFL experience.

You'll need to put Ballarat FL and Geelong FL somewhere in your top five.
Good to hear.
WBFL thread suggests that the Mt Gambier Cup being held on Friday before the interleague fixture also affected the quality of their side as a few chose getting on the turps ahead of a game of footy. Silly buggers, could have just got pie-eyed on the way back from Horsham.

WHAT A JOKE OAKEY PLAYING REP FOOTY MUST BE RELATED TO ONE OF THE SELECTORS.....
Not going to say to much but beton it was better when you were retired from this forum. At times you sound like you no a bit about the game then all of a sudden dribble comes out your mouth. GO BACK IN TO RETIREMENT.I AGREE TUCKEY,MCFARLANE,MILLER AND KELM R BIG NAMES AND ARE IN THE BEST 22 IN THE LEAGUE HOWEVER THE REP SIDES SHOULD BE THE BEST 22 IN THE LEAGUE AND THE WIMMERA WERE MISSISNG TUCKEY,MCFARLANE AND MILLER.AS FAR AS OAKEY GOES MUST BE POLITICS OR SOMETHING THAT GETS THESE 2ND RATE PLAYERS IN REP GAMES.......

Beton did you forget about the wimmera players that were unavailble... Tuckey, Mcfarlane, Everitt, WIlson, Mckinnon, Kelm, Miller... They are big names!
I believe being chosen for an interleague team dosnt always mean you are the best player in the league. Oaks held his own on saturday and kicked a great goal when we needed one. Having played alongside him saturday It was amazing that a player of his age could play so well in a high intensity game at his age.
Good point there Mr ? It is pretty weak to have those players unavailable.Mcfarlane and Miller are gun players but everitt, wilson, mckinnon would struggle to get a game in wimmeras best 22.I supose i was being a bit harsh on oakey but surely you could play a kid at rep level instead of debuting an old fart at 36 but if these so called big names make themselves U/A then you have to give the likes of oakey etc a game.I find it absolutely frustrating that people don't put up their hand to play rep footy. You have people that are injured ( and you can't do much about that, except feeling sorry for them to be missing out ), then you have people who are actually unavailable and then you have week hearted pricks that shit me to tears like McFarlane, Everitt, Wilson, McKinnon (all from Dimmy, surprise surprise) and Miller who dont play simply cause they dont get paid. Week as piss! And as for people picking on oaks, Not only did he make his debut at 36 he held his own and played an important part in the win. Good contributer and there should b more people like him putting there hand up no matter what age!!!
Horsham kicked a deflated dimboolas arse.. Any one else heard reports that there is trouble in the camp there??
I was talking to a former Dimmy player from a couple of years ago on the weekend Tige and he told me that they are out of money....
it may not only be the dimmi football club struggling for money because word on the street is that the young dimmi bloke who king hit jay tucker in a horsham nightclub is going too have to foot the 20k bill for his dentist appointments...Tragic
Ararat just outplayed them... Geez they've got some good kids the moons... young Aidan Bell kicked a lazy 7 on debut.. Three out of there best six players were under 18's..Ararat beat Warrack on saturday did warrack have a few out or did ararat just out play them? Good to see them get a win under their belt?
Heard Sat. the dimmy boys had 8 at trainin tues nite and 15 on thurs they had to get the u/17`s to stay out so they could do a descent drill. The cheque book must near empty surely, there would be one less in it after brett goodes played for them on sat.Horsham kicked a deflated dimboolas arse..
