Problem with just navy home, royal away is that we still need a clash guernsey. As ochre says, let's start with the basics, and that is getting rid of the horrid clash and tripanel guernseys.

Agreed, we need all three really. Navy home, Royal away, Peril clash, easy, done:)

to be honest the slim chance this thing has of getting some recognition that will probably be a compromise, but let's leave the card in the deck to be used if it gets to that stage. The navy was introduced for pure marketing anyway from memory (navy shirts etc easier to sell). Let's focus on actually getting a message through first, the designs are just examples and at this point the less we bandy about the better.

I still reckon it may be taken more seriously initially if we put the 3 options forward, rather than just the royal and yellow. They see the royal and yellow and straight away think, well there goes all the merch, like you said the polo's etc, and it just makes it look like all we want is a throw back to "good ol days" of the late 80's and early 90's rather than a push to something new for the future. Just my opinion anyway, and I would sign anything that gets rid of the tri-panel and rank white thing we wore on the weekend.

I don't think all the merch would have to go. I mean, look at Brisbane, they have navy blue polos but their Guernsey doesn't have navy blue on it.
