A message from West Coast Communications Manager Gary Stocks:

I have been reading these Facebook post comments for the last couple of weeks and it has hit home that I should have been paying greater attention for years.

There has been some insightful comment and impressive dialogue on here...and it got me thinking. I haven't agreed with everything that's been expressed, but most of the commentary, from our supporters/members, has been thought provoking. We're thinking we should open up our website for some fan blogs.

We'd like to get your views on key issues around our club, where you can write more expansively than on a Facebook post, and also have someone write a match report each week.

Send your thoughts/pieces to fanblog@westcoasteagles.com.au and we will select some entries to feature on website in the coming weeks.

You know what needs to be done guys. We should also be sending this stuff to Gary on Twitter.

This, Navy home, Royal away like in the 90's and the yellow as clash is our only option I think.
I like to think the club is smart enough to, if they think navy is required, add in a navy wings to go with the royal and yellow, instead of just saying no to the whole thing. However, by adding one into our proposal, it makes it appear that having one is our preference, which it isn't.

Kyle is right. We need to flood these pages.

Kyle is always right.

Kyle is the opposite of wrong.

Kyle is not wrong.

liked the facebook page but disagree with yellow peril as the proposed AWAY guernsey - it just doesn't work unless it is the HOME guernsey

ROYAL continues on its merry way as the AWAY guernsey
I'm happy to change whats on the facebook page to whatever the consensus is here, problem is people are split on which jumpers to use and when.

We only have 7 likes so there should be plenty of time to sort it out before the page goes viral.

Not sure if anyone else thinks this, but I would actually prefer the Navy as home, royal away and peril clash. The peril mock ups so far, no offense to anyone who made them cause I know I couldn't make any better, to me look a little messy, or like the colours don't quite work together, I think its the outline on the eagle head. I just think if that's what we put to the club they won't be that keen.

The problem with the yellow home is they ditched it after 1987 - one year. Better chance of having it instated as our away guernsey when a clash occurs.
Problem with just navy home, royal away is that we still need a clash guernsey. As ochre says, let's start with the basics, and that is getting rid of the horrid clash and tripanel guernseys.

Go for it mate! Maybe throw a link to this thread from there (if within the MB rules?).

You certainly can because the link to the team board is not for the purposes of trolling.

You're welcome to post this on the main board (subject to what other mods think, however I'm backing this one).

The Brisbane thread a few months ago was allowed so I don't see a problem. :)

Go post it QS
