We already get to see the Royal wings 10+ times per year. Stop being stubborn people
I know, far out! This vote is going to e ruined because people can't accept that our home colour has been navy for 20 bloody years, mistake or not it's been here for a long time and the fact the club have blatantly told us that if this thing goes ahead, navy will be the home guernsey should be enough for everyone to accept it.

Although most of us want that, I don't know if its a good idea.

Say 25 % vote for an alternate (ie Royal, or make your own). 35% vote for "return the wings" and then 40% vote for tri-panel.

Tri-panel gets the most votes, so it stays.

Not good result.

Not really - surely the number of people who vote alternate aren't going to be that many. I clearly expressed a "return the wings" in the description.

That'll simply add to the pile of people who want the wings returned.

It'd still change in that case. The club aren't morons.
What part of "The Club says that Navy is non-negotiable" is hard to understand
We have the chance to get rid of the tri-panel and some fans are overly obsessing over the Royal wings
Navy Wings looks decent
Because it shouldn't be non-negotiable. I don't see why it couldn't change if we pushed hard enough.

The problem is some on here think we hold some sort of bargaining chip? We hold nothing!! We are lucky that the club have engaged with us and seemingly listened to us, and now we want to go back and say, "actually we still aren't happy, we want more" the last thing we want is to stuff this up and get stuck with the tri panel for years to come. Join the real world, where a group of people on an online forum have very little say in the dealings of a multi million dollar organisation

Have you missed the past week or two? You sound like I did back on the very first page of this thread.

I've been here, hence why i say the club has said they want navy, so we aren't going to change their mind, why throw votes away and jeopardise this whole thing because people are being stubborn and aren't willing to compromise.

I mean God forbid people say what jumpers they actually want when asked what jumpers they want.

I get that too, but do we want his vote to be split 35 or 40 between all 3 of navy, tri and neither, or do we want the "wings" which is what this whole thing is about, to comprehensively beat the tri panel, and become our home guernsey in 2016?

When the full set of wings are returned the WCE brand strengthens considerably.

That being the case, I'm not sure why the club couldn't roll out in a few home games each in full royal and yellow peril respectively.

There are a few games where the full royal makes a lot of sense (i.e. vs Carlton, vs Richmond, vs Adelaide).

Yellow peril just looks awesome regardless of the opposition. If it had my way it would be the permanent home jumper.

Even though I voted for the wings, I will be cynical and mention that political organisations (& surely that covers WCE dealing with its members) never ask a question that they don't know the answer for or they phrase a question a certain way to get the required answer.

In other words, I expect the tri-panel to remain and the yellow version to become a clash strip.

I don't.

Gary was pretty clear that the club are pretty strongly behind this, including Nisbett.

Yeah I reckon they have almost made their mind up that it will change for 2016. The only other times they have put this type of thing to the fans, it's gone ahead, the 03 away, the 2007 eagle head replacing the flying eagle, the awesome clash in 2010 (they were never going to go with anything other than what we haw now, they had already decided) I'd say this one is basically decided too....well I hope so anyway!

Jumper Judgement T&C
"2. While the outcome of the poll will be taken into consideration, it will not be the sole factor considered in the club’s decision making process regarding the design of future club guernseys."

Lets hope they have already decided on wings then.

Maybe you are right - either way the decision is likely to have already been made. The result of any survey won't matter. If something can be found to justify a decision then it will be handy.

I don't.

Did you get the sense that they had already made up their mind? I may have been listening to what wasn't said, but that is the impression I got upon walking away.

In any case, if it does succeed - **** what a job we have all done.
