Pretty amazing win. Had the lead by 4 after Seaford kicked a point with 3 minutes remaining.

On the kickout, our girl panicked a bit and forgot to touch ball to foot before taking off when the ump called play on. At the resulting bounce at the top of the square a free gets paid to Seaford who duly goal and take the lead by 2.

So we need a goal in the last 2 minutes, having only managed 3 for the day. Scramble it forward, massive amounts of pressure around the ball, 3 or 4 smothers and an errant clearance lands with Stratton who calmly goes back and nails the goal from 35 out.

Hold on for another minute and history is made.

Box Hill Women's first win. Same day as Box Hill senior blokes' 200th win since the alignment.
