David Wirrpunda has told the Football record that he is open to offers at season end, as he is missing home.

So now as well as Judd the WCE looks like they have a fight on their hands to keep another Vic who wants to come home.

If this is true, the WCE will definately have to look at why these players don't want to stay in Perth.

Is it the culture of the club perhaps?

Wonder what _Dudd has to troll about this?

Oh the irony hey _Dudd??

I doubt he'll go, the guy bleeds blue and gold. He's been at the club since he was 16! Aint happening buddy!

If there is a better offer, he is going to take it. Doesn't really matter if he "bleeds Blue and Gold" if he is home sick, he will leave no matter what, if you keep a player that wants to leave, you will end up with what we (Collingwood) had last year with Nick Davis. So if he wants to go home, he will go, no matter how much a club means to him. Alot of players get home sick and decide that it's time to go back home.

Wont happen, why would Wirrapunda leave a club of the calibre of the Eagles for a club like Collingwood!

Let's ask ourselves, which would we want more, staying in a place he doesn't want to be in, or have a chance at returning home. Chick's done it, Headland's done it, Croad's done it, and so has Nick Davis.

Just reporting what Bruce Eva - editor of the Football Record said last night. No dreams mate just reporting the words from Wirrpunda's mouth.

So he's a home sick Eagle? Or is he just wanting a change? I have a good feeling that Judd or Wirrapunda may stay, I could be wrong, but I think there are some good times coming up at the Eagles. but if they are home sick it really wouldn't matter.

Reporting the words from Eva's mouth, not Wirrpunda's - Big difference.

Apparently no ill feeling toward the club, but he is terribly homesick.

Don't know if it has anything to do with it, as everyone gets homesick, but he made mention of not seeing his sister grow up, and wanting to be with his family. Could possibly be the family bond that aborigines seem to have, every elder to them is uncle or aunty or cousin.
Thats not to say non-aboriginal players don't have this same bond of course.

It wouldn't really suprise if he did want to return as most people want to be near their families.

Headland left a premiership team to return home, Nick Davis left a team that had just played in a grandfinal.

Does anyone doubt Chick was happy at the Hawks ? or Farmer at Melbourne. Both returned for the desire to be near loved ones.

This is not to say every player thinks this way as clearly that isn't the case. But for many players the desire to return home eventually overcomes club ties.

Yeah, it seems to be the common thing in the AFL, mostly the younger kids that have left seems to get very home sick, and after awhile some of the older players get home sick aswell. I guess everyone goes through it, some decide to go home, the rest just deal with it. I wouldn't be surprised if he left, nor will I be surprised if he stays. Like with Nick Davis, got home sick after the 2000 season, and decided to stay for another year, then got home sick again. So if he don't leave this year, it would probably be next year.

Judd won't be leaving, nor will Wirra.

Seems most Colliwobble "freaks" think that ex-players all want to play for Collingwood next season.
Why play for a side on the slide when there are better teams than them.

No one said he was going to Collingwood, No one said Judd was going to Collingwood either. Sure Collingwood supporters want them at Collingwood, but there is probably no chance of either of them even leaving West Coast. There is only rumours about them leaving. I really don't care either way.

yes, someone says Wirrpunda wants to go home so it must be true

Of the non-WA boys in our team, he would be the least likely to head home IMO.

So please **** off now, we don't need this crap mid-season.

Maybe you Victorian's could concentrate on something more important - getting a team thats actually good enough to challenge the interstate teams.

It's no wonder this type of **** comes out now - 2 years why would you care, we were down the bottom. But now you can't win on the field so you try to destabilize us through the media - well it ain't ****en working, cause were sitting pretty in second, and the best you have is Collingwood
