New York Range......I mean, Aston Villa actually, very unique colours. He does.
I'm interested im what you'll suggest
Check the High Res Sports Logos thread. It should have a site there.I sure do, that's pretty much what the thread became once I finished up the AFL. Bear in mind that I've gotten rather slower lately, but even if it takes a month, it'll get done! I'm going to get the UWS Giants and St George Illawarra made, and then Aston Villa will be next.
(By the way, does anybody know of a higher-res version of the logo I've attached below? I like it better than the "space-age helmet guy" logo, since it's not so rugby-specific, and since the addition of yellow and gray might be fun to play around with, what with the present-day Dragons already being red and white.)

Oh.Bigger and slightly better, in my eyes! Certainly not hi-res, but much more usable. Thanks!
Oh.
Well, no problem
It's a bit weird seeing yellow on a team that's only worn white and red and the occasional black but good job.For the Steelers heritage jersey, there was of course no option but to have two white stripes on red, but I also wanted to make it distinct from the red-and-white of the home and away, so I used the Steelers' later logo with its red and black, and added those two colors into the striping as well.
The alternate should be the home and the home the alternate.Port Adelaide's another one where I feel like I might want to make a second attempt after some feedback. I'm not completely satisfied with it, though I do like it, but I'm also not sure what else to do. On the other hand, maybe it is a good set after all, and I've just looked at it for so long that I've started second-guessing it.
I went with teal as the primary color and silver as the secondary color, even though the Power have always worn mostly black, purely because I find myself drawn to teal as a unique color in sports. The third jersey is meant to reference both their current jumper, and also the prison bars. I really wanted to include a nod to the prison bars somewhere, but if there's a consensus that it just doesn't look good from a purely aesthetic standpoint, I'm open to dropping it and just basing the third off of their black V jumper. So, thoughts?
In the meantime,
What team next?
Thanks man, I love it!!!Well, I've been thinking, planning, and every so often getting a chance to actually open up old MS Paint and do some work on the Aston Villa jerseys for over a month now... I had my ideas for them pretty well established for a while, but just had no time to actually put them together.
The home and away are perhaps a bit conventional. I used their most recent shirts as my starting point, but since hockey teams don't change up their jerseys every single year like EPL clubs, I wanted to do something that just said "this is Aston Villa" as simply as possible.
The alternate gets a bit funky, but that's kind of what a third jersey is for, after all. I wanted to do something that was a bit of an unconventional, "soccer-y" design on a hockey jersey, rather than using the team's colors to make a more traditional hockey design.
Coming Soon: West Perth Falcons, Rockdale Ilinden FC, Manchester City, Western Force, and Western Reds. I'm also going to throw in a few more SANFL, WAFL, VFL, etc. teams that I've had ideas for over the past few months, along with the requests.
Can't say I exactly remember them, having never seen them before, but they sure do look interesting! The different colors on each shoulder would certainly be a... unique look for a hockey sweater. I don't know if it would look good or not (partly because I'm not sure if I think it even looks good on that rugby shirt! ), but even just the idea of those vertical stripes of any color on the shoulders could be a good starting point.
For what it's worth, yes, I haven't been doing this too regularly as of late, for a variety of reasons, but I've still got ideas for the most recent requests tumbling around in my head. I think the pace may stay this slow for a while, since I've got some other ideas for projects and potential portfolios that are also exciting me at the moment, in addition to just having less free time in general, but I'll always be coming back to these as long as people want to see them!
