Beth Mooney looks like a player that has struggled with her team down.

The other players look up to her as a leader of this team.

Mooney is a great opening bat, but she seems to play better when her opening partner gets off to a strong start and she has that little bit of time to work into her innings

She's one of those players who seems hard to get out once she's faced 15+ balls and she has control over the pace of her innings - seems at the moment in the WPL that the team is struggling from a batting perspective & a lot is coming back into Mooney & Gardner to carry the batting load

Feels a bit unfair to see a team like Mumbai have Tyron and Ismail on the bench the other night, when you compare that to a team like Gujarat who has a player like Tahuhu on their bench.

Another thing after seeing misfields, conceding runs in the field, and dropped catches, when Gujarat eventually had a catch fall their way- they seemed surprised and almost gave a look of 'finally we got one' and chuckles.

When Gardner got out, when sitting on the bench I think deep down in that chase you get that top 4 out cheaply, you know its pretty much game over.

The composition of the side in my opinion is top 'bat heavy' focussed with the imports.

Their also one of the few teams that are playing 5 imports (4 from ICC nations (test playing nations)+ 1 associate). You probably need at least 2 of those imports firing in every game to be competitive. I think Gardner has been their best import. But Wolvaardt, Mooney, Kathryn Bryce (Scottish player), Tahuhu need to lift when playing for Gujarat to be better.

Mooney said last night the bowling wasnt to blame and she was right in that regard.

Brilliant batting from RCB as they post 198/3 off their 20 overs and thats the highest score of the tournament so far batting 1st.

114 runs were scored in the last 10 overs largely from the influence of Smriti and Ellyse Perry.
