Who will "win" the spoon in 2008 ?

The season has started to show the real contenders for the flag, and along with this, has also shown which sides are fighting it out for the other end of season prize, The Wooden Spoon

There are 4 sides at this stage are in the front running:

- Melbourne. Definate favourites, in all sorts
- Fremantle. Self destructing as we speak, Harvey was out of his depth
- Essendon. The Dons second take at appointing an ex-Tiger has disaster written all over it
- Richmond. The value bet, Sportsbook paying generous odds. With only 2 wins, the Tigers are a huge chance for back-to-back spoons

Carlton easily.

They are a rabble who got wiped off the floor by a middle of the road side on the weekend.

Don't forget about your own club, by no means are they out of the spoon race yet.

You will be adding Carlton to that list after they get embarrassed by the serial chockers this weekend. :thumbsu:

I still think Melbourne will win it, although I'm not feeling as bad about it as I did a few weeks back. At least we are TRYING to play the way Bailey wants us to play.

Freo are a big chance, as are Essendon, but then that's common knowledge. Still an open race this early in the year.

nah, we play you, richmond, and collingwood later in the year. we'll win at least 2 of them. if we win against freo then there is 0% chance of us getting the spoon.
