So if you love a sportsman but then a few people tell you he is a flog you just instantly hate him? I have heard the same thing about him for years as well. Doesn't change my view on what he meant to me as a golfer.
And I find it very strange that almost everyone on LIV cannot speak highly enough about him.
I have no doubt he is very arrogant, I agree with you on that.
Maybe but I still believe everyone would of made that promise. Can some of the best golfers in the world get OWGR points? Yes its a no brainer. The PGA tour however stopped that.

When he started nuding up in front of a camera. The sheer arrogance of the bloke is unprecedented. I went to a golf dinner 20 years ago and the whole audience was there for him. He spoke about how much money he’d made in business and put the crowd to sleep. Gary Player told funny golf stories taking the mickey out of himself and others.
Loved him as a golfer. It ended there.
How can you promise something you have no control over?
Yes it was a massive reach to expect OWGR. 54 holes, tiny fields, no depth, no cuts. It’s not comparable and therefore can’t be evaluated from a points perspective.
Rubbish, the hero event gets points. Now small fields weekly get points. It was simply the PGA tour stopping it.
Doesn’t matter anyway, the majors invite best players. That’s all that matters.

No you have been brainwashed that if you don't play 4 rounds its not real. No Merit base? what does that even mean? Promotion/relegation should not effect OWGR. It is the oWGR that needs to change from their outdated world.
They have 1 job, rank the best players in the world based on their performances. They are not even close to getting it right.
As for Bubba well just like Tiger etc he has earnt the right.
Why is Tiger still playing? ranked 1200th. He has earnt the right to play thats why.
Bubba is a team captain and the LIV rules state its up to him if he plays or not. Now should he? Probably not as he has performed poorly.

You need to read up on the LIV “rules”.
Bubba was not retained but then was magically reinstated.

Possibly.
Would be hard to have a course at peak tournament conditions two weeks running.
I would’ve thought playing there and setting it up as a massive charitable endeavour for the community would’ve worked.
Especially after they’ve been through hell, it would’ve given them something to look forward to.
