Far be it for me to pump his tyres up but this event is just what Collingwood and Carlton's rivalry is all about. Also why no other two Clubs will ever have what we have.

Trust me Mr Dog, Joffa Corfe is not worthy of me getting on my knees in front of him.

Oh please. He's just another black and white bogan.

I' m looking at several of the banners we used last Friday down here. They are rolled up for another year I guess.:(

Went to the hardware store & paid $50 for new sticks, as the banners had to be express posted down from Sydney in time for the Doggies game. One stick got broken & the rest of them got held up about 3 times all second half against the Dogs. We didn't exactly have much to cheer about by then.

They are "SCG THE BROWNLOW FACTORY" "WE'VE GOT THE GOODES! "HALL 'EM IN!" & "PROUD SYDNEYSIDER!"

But my favourite banner is the one RobbieAndo normally uses at games.

Not just a cliched slogan, but a reminder of the history of my great club. :thumbsu:

shouldn't it read SFC ...1981 ?? :D

Well technically it could read SSFC 1982. But that does not recognise the history of the club at the Lake.

SMFC1874 on a banner is a little counter-productive given that everyone knows we are the "Sydney" Swans these days. Respect the club's history for sure, but don't alienate people by holding up a banner that will only irritate fellow members of the same club.

Are you the guy from Essendon Grog Squad who stands on the railings & gets everyone going. If so you do a bloody good job. Just hope you don't trip over the small guy in the wheelchair with the red & black viking horns on. He is constantly whizzing everywhere and starts congratulating people after goals! :thumbsu:

Does anyone have a pic of that "Game Over Joffa" banner that Pikey ran around the MCG with after their 03 premiership?

That was a cracker:D

Here you go, there was a better one which was maroon with a gold jacket on it and had the fitzroy and lion logo's.

Totally missed the point. AFL cheer squads are dull and lifeless. In 100 years they have only come up with *insert team* clap clap clap, repeat.

They dont create the atmopshere at the games, the fans do, when they scream out against bad decisions, or when a team breaks away from the backline, kicks a goal, takes a big mark etc.

spot on- :thumbsu:

I love the "Just Miss It" one in the Richmond Cheer Squad.

The thing I like the most about that banner is the guy holding it usually walks down the aisle behind the goals, thus giving opposition forwards something to aim at. :p

There is the irony in that he is providing a nice target to aim at, which does tickle my funny bone too in respect to the sign. I have noticed though that it is positioned off to the side of the goals lately.
