Dare I write - David O'Halloran for his first and only game of the year to play on Paul Salmon in the '85 GF & Chris Langford in the ruck in the same game, while Michael Byrne played in the ressies GF? I know hindsight is a great leveller, but I guess most of the examples given are based purely on it anyway.

Probably, but by definition a bad coaching move has to be won that clearly went sour. At the end of the day there's no proof of that. Fact was, his form was poor. Tough call but not neccessarily the wrong thing to do.
