It wasn't a "last night" decision, it was a "this year" one and last night was simply the culmination.I was at the game it it was difficult to differentiate teams.
Last night Geelog decided to change what had been agreed upon for the last 20 years and wore dark shorts with their white guernsey and Collingwood white shorts with their dark
Here are pics of the same guenseys being worn with the opposite short combination to last night. Dark guernsey in dark shorts, light guernsey in light shorts

bUt CoLlLiNgwOoD NeEd aNoTHEr cLaSH jUmPeRBasically zero Collingwood jumpers withw hite shorts would fix the issue vs Geelong because it will always be a weird combo of both teams utilising roughly 50/50 light and dark. Even if Collingwood top was 99% dark still wouldn't have been great.
Both teams in dark shorts would have been better ironically enough.
Yes, let's chuck on a red training top for one obscure jumper clash that may or may not even happen at all during the year, when we could just swap shorts to resolve almost the entire issue, as has been done for over a decadebUt CoLlLiNgwOoD NeEd aNoTHEr cLaSH jUmPeR
It's a clash but at the same time it isn't (dark v light).
The team on the left could be playing in chocolate jumpers.
I agree with you, but $$$$$, and there have been some pretty cool clash kits (RCB 16 - Black, and BH - Black). There should be more emphasis on the umpires not clashing with the two playing teams.I don't think Cricket should count as jumper clashes, given that in Test matches both teams wear white, and the nature of the sport is that 2 have pads and a bat and the rest don't
In which case what was the point of switching from both teams wearing white/cream? Now both are wearing red/orange. Woo!I don't think Cricket should count as jumper clashes, given that in Test matches both teams wear white, and the nature of the sport is that 2 have pads and a bat and the rest don't
Just as important as the teams wearing different colours - if we're gonna wear colours, make it plural. There should be more emphasis on the umpires not clashing with the two playing teams.
Thank you.I don't think Cricket should count as jumper clashes, given that in Test matches both teams wear white, and the nature of the sport is that 2 have pads and a bat and the rest don't
"Let's be bright and colourful by all wearing the same colour"Thank you.
There was a preseason match in the ‘90s between Adelaide and Melbourne that was these guernseys and both teams in navy shorts.
