Ive pretty much done everything.

Knee - lucky to avoid a reconstruction after tearing ACL, MCL and PCL
Collarbone/Dislocated Shoulder - both happened in one go
Broken Cheekbone - dirty feral decided to knock me out

I did see a guy break his collarbone and it was sticking through the skin, thats probably the worst ive seen.
Against who?

If this is to do with flexibility a foam roller and a canvas stretching strap will be the best money you ever spend.

I think its more to do with the fact that the years of footy have made sure ive got a large amount of scar tissue in my hamstrings. I remember when i first tore one my physio was shocked that i'd never done one before because my "good" one was pretty messed up.

Whats the foam roller? I get the strap thing, got one of them to do stretching with.

Collarbone and both hips
1st hip was the worst injury I've ever done, ball came out of socket, slid up beside socket and snapped.
They put me on crutches, and every movement was agony, got rushed 300km odd to major hospital that night after I couldn't bring myself to move off couch.

Months in hospital and re-learning how to walk afterwards, fun times.

There are a million different types, with a variety of densities and surfaces, and there is certainly no shortage of info on the net about how to use them.

Mine is a cheap, quite dense, simple foam one that cost me $40 and I use it almost every day; almost exclusively on my back, hammies, and my ITB (iliotibial band) which runs down the outside of each leg. When you find a sore spot you hold it until it releases a bit, and repeat. The ITB kills like a bitch, but I honestly couldn't live without it now. I just use it before I go to bed whilst watching telly.

Using both together, my flexibility has gone from nowhere to better than average; I had a professional bike-fit on Saturday and he said I was well ahead of most in terms of lower back/hammy flexibility. Get on board, they are the shit.

Have plates and pins in my R elbow and both wrists from 3 different breaks. 2 on the footy field and 1 after going over the top of a car I hit side while riding to work. He turned right in front of while I was going at pace.

Still only gave up playing footy at around 49 yo (superrules) and never had leg issues apart fom hammies

Slipped a disk playing tennis when I tried to change direction and caused my back to seize up and I couldn't move for a few minutes. Hurt like a bitch and was confirmation I was getting old. On the plus side, the physio was a looker - made handing over those dollars more palatable.

17 shoulder dislocations, all same arm and most from sport. First one was footy, after the 4th I had an op. Things went well for about a year then pop it went, after pop number 17 I thought I'd better get another op. 3 years later no further issues but I am not entirely confident in raising it high or throwing/bowling a ball as fast as I'd like.

No better relief in the world then when it goes back in.

A few of the more humorous dislocations were sneezing, sleeping and grabbing the newspaper from under a car.

Oh and I once got my old fella caught in a zipper after a cricket GF. That was pretty painful!

Have had a couple of knee sublaxations but nothing that has required surgery... yet... I'm pretty sure my shoulder breifly popped out on sunday while playing.. it's pretty sore still at the moment..

The worst injury I've seen while playing footy, besides a broken arm that was bent in the wrong direction, was from one of my teammates two seasons ago -

We only play pub footy so it's not super serious but injuries still happen. Anyway, this guy's right knee gives way and he drops to the ground, in which he lands on his right shoulder and busts that too! Needed an operation on both his right knee and right shoulder! He was completed incompacitated for quite a while, and unfortunately that was it for him footy wise (was a shame as he was a good player)

I found it a little ironic that he worked at Disability Sports Victoria... I imagine they would've been quite tolerant of his time of work injured/rehab

Knee reco
Torn both hammys
Broken hand
Torn calf
Torn quad
Torn groin
Concussion multiple
Cut head x 3

Pretty standard stuff really.

Haha, there are so many to pick from up north. Eastern Park were terrible. Heard horror stories about any team having the misfortune of playing the Wingfield Royals.
playing against Smithfield at their home ground always bothered me, personally

Yep those two scare the crap outta me.
Eastern Park arent too bad, their locals are worse than their players.
I had a spectator walk on the field at an away game once and threaten me.
