... against the Eagles in the GF?

My reasoning. If I place $50 on the Swans to win, I'm gonna win $50 if they do. Perhaps more if Hall gets rubbed out and the odds drift.

That way, if the Eagles win, I'm happy. I paid $50 to see them win.

If they lose, at least I'll benefit financially.

I was tempted to make a similar bet when the Eagles played the Pies, but didn't. We all know the result there.

That way Im over the moon if (I mean when) we win but If we lose I can pay off all my debts BABY!

Betting, like tipping, should always be a matter of the head and not the heart. If you can find odds that tickle your fancy, then go for it.

The question is, do you do it now or wait until the decisions on Hall? If you think Hall is gawn, then wait and watch Sydney's odds skyrocket. If you think he'll play one way or the other, then make the bet now or watch your window of opportunity get slammed shut.

Similarly for anyone thinking of betting on the Eagles, I'd say wait until the last minute, because if as I suspect Hall does get the all clear AND we name a team minus Gaspar and/or Braun and/or Matera, our odds will be at their longest just before bouncedown.

My feeling is that if the Eagles win you will be off your face with excitement, on Sunday you will be spewing because reality has hit home knowing that you have just lost $2500 and knew that you should have put it on the mighty Eagles.......

Where can you get to? Your local TAB will have one set of odds, many online betting services and interstate TABs will offer slight variations. Although those sometimes take a couple of days to get an account with...
