Stolen alot of this from the wrestlingforum but wanted to make a hub with all the info for people that want to head to WrestleMania 32 in Dallas and I know a fair few people here want to go.

Will update everything in this OP every week with any news and details. Other people feel free to give me whatever information you feel is needed to be added in the opening post. Also thought it would be good for people to ask questions about travel, packages, accommodation and whatever else and for people who have had previous experiences to give other people some tips even if it's just traveling to the United States.

1. GENERAL SALE TICKET AND WWE EVENT INFORMATION

[*]One option is to forego the packages and book everything separately. There's a trade off here: Value for increased hassle.

[*]In general, it's best to be ready to buy your tickets DAY-OF to ensure the best seats. It usually takes a while for things to sell out (Axxess, especially, tends to have availability almost up to the event), but you don't want to get caught having to hit StubHub for tickets at beefed-up prices.

[*]PRESALE: There should be a presale on Ticketmaster a few days before the general sale. You will require codes to access this sale. Follow @Wrestlemania and @ATTStadium on Twitter and keep an eye out on this forum and the dirtsheets for all the codes, which will be easy to find.

[*]International buyers will have to pick their tickets up at Will Call (not a major hassle this year). US buyers can get theirs delivered. Last year, Ticketmaster added an option for international buyers to print at home for WrestleMania (not RAW).

[*]In previous years, people have gamed the system by opening a separate (US) Ticketmaster account and transferring their tickets, thus being able to print 'em out and skip Will Call.

[*] Camera lenses cannot exceed 6" when fully extended. No video cameras are allowed.

[*]For AT&T Stadium, they follow the standard NFL bag policy additional security policies. Be advised that the sign/banner policy would most likely be lifted for this event.

  • The Hall of Fame is a long night of speeches and little in the way of action. If you're not that into the history of wrestling, you may get bored. Otherwise, it's a great event.
  • DRESS UP. Even if it's a dress shirt with jeans, don't wear a T-shirt you look out of place. All of the wrestlers and their families dress up. you should too. IT'S A RESPECT THING.

    • Only 4 day package buyers will have automatic entry to RAW. 3-day packages do not include RAW tickets.
    • Most of the head-on sections in the lower bowl seem to have been taken by the packages. Presale opened up the 300's and the far end 100's last year. Lower bowl was gone within 10 minutes, upper bowl took roughly 6-8 weeks to sell out.

2. TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION

FLIGHTS:

  • For flight deals, try Skyscanner.net, Farecompare.com or Kayak.com.
  • If you choose a flight with layovers over direct, then your flight will usually work out much cheaper. Dallas is an international hub and will be easy to get to from anywhere in the world.
  • In the USA, flying is often just as cheap (and much faster!) as going by train or bus, so don't assume that ground transport will be the best value.

ACCOMMODATION:

  • For hotel deals, try sites like Hotwire.com, Kayak.com,
    image-3176257-10438468
    Hotels.com, Booking.com orLastminute.com.
  • If you spot a deal or hotel that you like, you should check the hotel's official site as well before booking, you might get a better deal through them directly.
  • There may also be late releases from the WrestleCon hotels.
  • For apartments & rooms, try AirBnB.com.
  • For hostels, try Hostelworld.com
  • Book your accommodation as EARLY as possible. A lot of people in this thread have ALREADY booked theirs (posted on 7th April). Most hotels don't charge you a deposit up front and offer free cancellation. Take advantage! Some people even like to book several hotels and then decide on which one they want closer to the time. Keep your options open.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

  • There are two Amtrak stations near Alington, Tx. One in Dallas and one in Fort Worth.
  • Use Uber or Lyft instead of booking a taxi as it's much cheaper. You can easily get a code from this forum to get your first ride with both of these companies for free (to the value of $20). You can download the apps from the US App Store/Google Play store.

3. THE WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

MERCHANDISE:

  • Don't worry if you want to get your hands on merchandise, as they sell it at all the events, plus have a huge superstore, usually in the same location as AXXESS. One thing I would say though, is get what you want from there as early as you can, as it usually doesn't take too long for them to start running out. Last year, the money in the bank briefcases kept getting sold out ridiculously fast.
  • They also do a couple of bonus signings at the superstore throughout the week. This year there were superstars such as Big Show, Kidd & Cesaro and the Bella Twins. These signings are free, but you need a wristband for them, which are given out at a predetermined time (which will be announced closer to the time).

OTHER EVENTS:

Instead of cluttering the topic with lots of pointless info from last year, these sections will be updated with info as and when it becomes available.

  • This was one of the highlights of the whole week this year. Expect the same next year and expect this to be a very hot ticket, so again, be on the ball.

4. DALLAS FORT WORTH TOURISM

FOOD & DRINK

  • Drinking age in the US is 21, and it's extremely rare to find any bar or shop that doesn't require ID. For international visitors, this usually means you'll have to carry your passport to bars, etc, as often this is the only form of international ID that will be accepted.
  • Do a bit of research and you can find something authentic to suit any budget.

Local delicacies include:

Fast Food:
  • In-N-Out Burger: One of the best fast food burger chains in the country, as everything is fresh. It is a staple of the West Coast and Texas, and is worth the 15 minute wait. There is a 'secret' menu that regulars know about to enhance their experience.
  • Fuel City Tacos
  • Braum's
  • In-N-Out
  • Chick-Fil-A
  • Jet's Pizza
  • Maple and Motor
  • Fuzzy's Taco Shop

Sit down:
  • Pappadeaux
  • Pappacito's
  • Ojeda's
  • Pappa's BBQ
  • Sonny Bryant's BBQ
  • Grand Lux Cafe
  • Lawery's the Prime Rib
  • Babe's Chicken House
  • Breadwinner's Cafe
  • Mother's Daughter's Diner
  • Fogo de Chao
  • Texas de Brazil
  • Rudy's
  • Jasper's
  • Benihana
  • Black-eyed Pea
  • Perry's Steakhouse

Other people's favorite's:
  • Cheesecake Factory
  • Twisted Root Burger
  • Old Butcher Shop

I also recommend eating a Chicken Fried Steak while in Dallas:http://www.dmagazine.com/publication...teak-in-dallas

Feel free to add more as we go along.

SHOPPING

  • Grapevine Mills: Grapevine near DFW, home of the Legoland indoor park
  • Dallas Galleria: Has a skating rink in the middle of the mall. Area is also home to some very upscale restaurants. (Closest mall to Downtown Dallas)
  • Northpark Center
  • Stonebriar Center: Frisco
  • Southlake Town Square: Southlake
  • The Village at Allen/Fairview: Allen
  • Shops at Legacy: Plano

5. TRAVEL PACKAGE INFORMATION

  • Each year, the WWE offer several travel packages for people to buy. They include all the major WWE events on WrestleMania weekend and hotel accommodation.
  • The trade off with packages is that they're expensive, but convenient: one relatively stress-free purchase for major WWE events & accommodation.
  • Email travel.packages@wwe.com or call (001)203 359 5182 for any questions
  • Email wrestlemania.packages@wwecorp.com to request to be on the Travel Package mailing list

    Package Details

    For WrestleMania 30
    • VIP & Platinum sold out on the first day.
    • Royal New Orleans sold out on the second day.
    • Gold & Silver sold out in less than a week.
    • More Gold & Silver packages were released in September, and sold out within a few days.

      * EXTREMELY rough idea of the seats you can expect with the various packages. This is last year's prices.

      • Once you've made your purchase, you'll get a confirmation of purchase, then a full confirmation within 10 days.
      • Hotels (will update soon)
      • You will only receive your package in February, and won't know your exact seating arrangements until then, but seat-view feedback is usually very good.
      • It's probably worth ringing your bank or credit card company beforehand and making them aware of the upcoming purchase, as it has been known plenty of times for the card to decline the purchase, with it being so big.

i'll probably be lazy and buy my tickets 2 weeks before from stubhub:drunk:

the bit about looking out of place if you wear a tshirt to the hof is wrong. its still a wrestling event, after all.

(Log in to remove this ad.)

Great idea, even if you stole majority of it PVF.

I didn't get to go to an event when I was in the US back in 2013, which was a bit disheartening but I'm going to do everything I can to get over there for WM32. Hopefully Taker goes around again, legit the only thing I want to see is Taker at a Mania.

After seeing the possibility of HHH v Rock at WM32, I have increasingly want to do this now. Still half serious about the whole group thing?
Sad thing is i'd probably do it, considering at this stage i'd be going alone :( More people I know need to like wrestling. Or have money to go.
Determined to go though. Feel like it'll be the last chance to see Undertaker, and at such a huge stadium, they're going to want to put on one hell of a show.

Maybe not a bus, as I'd suspect wrongdoings and possible murder, but I'd go with BF people if my other option was no one, haha. Highly doubt it'll happen though :p

in your experience, how much does it cost to do the whole thing properly?
Just save all your pennies from now til then and you should be good. :thumbsu:

I'd so love to do it... but to do it properly, to guarantee good seats and all that, you're looking at in excess of $3500 US just for the WWE package - flights are definitely on top of that, from memory (when I was looking at this years) most packages don't include accommodation either.

I have a hard time justifying that when, if you booked everything yourself, it would be less than half that... but you can't guarantee good seats.

It presents quite the conundrum in terms of value for money.

Much as HHH vs Rock, possibly Steph vs Rousey (because they didn't actually promote F&F, so that can't have been the reason for the appearance), and possibly even DX vs NWO is very appealing... I still can't help but think the money would be better spent going over during NFL/NBA season and just catching Survivor Series.

all the packages (there was 5) included accommodation. Only one is above that price (ringside, $5500) the rest ranged from $900 to $3250.

Is trying to get a ticket in a specific area any more difficult than getting its equivalent package?

Personally i prefer sitting in the elevated areas so its not too hard for me to find a seat to my liking.

I just went and had a look at the page that I was researching on recently (http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news...-the-travel-packages-for-wwe-wrestlemania-31/) - the price I was guesstimating was the price of the minimum package that I thought would be worth going for. Obviously the price of the package was actually $3250.

Different strokes for different folks I guess - if I'm going that far, I want to be as close to the ring as possible for WM and Raw the night after. I can see how others would prefer elevated seating, but not me. And I have a lot of traveling I'd like to do and bugger all money and opportunity with which to do it, so I think I'm only likely to ever go to one Wrestlemania.

Of course, the other negative about the packages is that you pay for things you don't want to do. I might be the only wrestling fan in the world that thinks this - but I'm quite cynical about the WWE's treatment of the HOF as a real thing. I don't think I'd care for it much. And Axxess? It'd be cool, but there's so much that happens around WM, I don't know if it's something I'd preplan a VIP ticket for given the choice.

I dunno... I have much thought to do before next year. Cos the other thing I have to consider is that I'd likely be going all that way alone. The other positive of NFL and Survivor Series is that I'd be able to convince my brother to come.
