Not sure what else he could have done in this. Pure accidental I reckon.
Yep doesn't look like a whole heap of malice in it. He shouldn't be playing, after the McMahon incident last year, but this one is a pure accident that he can't be held accountable for

What a result for Werribee , to beat Altona that easily surely makes a statement that the flag is theirs finally
As we saw last year finals are a different game but Districts are looking a class above everyone else at this stage.

Saw some of the Yarraville v PCC game on Saturday as my girls were playing in the night game. The Sharks looked like a division 2 team as they were blown off the park - maybe this is when the bottom falls out at Featherbrook after so many close losses.

Almost without exception teams coming up into division 1 struggle initially as they gap is massive.

Initially it is about survival but then smart recruiting and bringing through your juniors in good programs eventually gives you the opportunity to survive.

There are no clubs currently in Division2 that have the depth of Juniors nor excess cash to survive let alone thrive so if the rumours are true that there is no relegation and 2 teams will come up from Div 2 next season, we could have the most uneven comp in the last 15 years

The balance of the league depends on it.

But I forgot, you want a division 3 to wallow in still.

8 teams is not enough for a division 1 comp!

I'm all for a 10 team D1 if there's 10 teams good enough to play D1, but doubting there is right now.

Sure the clubs would want 10, but an even 8 team comp is better than an uneven 10 teams comp. IMO.

Did anyone think PCC would be this competitive?

Keep in mind they only beat parkside by 3 goals in a grand final last year....

If you don't give an opportunity then you don't get results.

The structure of the comp is vital. The three divisions causes more of a divide than closing it as too many clubs are caught up in mediocrity.

I enjoy when you say I want to wallow in Division 3 when I spent the vast majority of my time in Division 1

Altona out of jail, were 34 down when I got there early 3rd, thought I was to see a promoted team beat the reigning premier - don't think I've ever seen that in the FDL / WRFL before.

In fairness, Altona dominated the 2nd half but took them halfway through the last to hit the front. Moved the ball well and looked good but PCC didn't give it away - what the heck happened in the 1st half, anybody there?

Yep I was there. PCC quite simply were too fast and we’re playing quick fast flowing footy. Altona clearly came out in the 2nd half with a focus on shutting down the middle of the ground and it worked wonders.
