Anyone heard rumour going round of junior comp being extended to U17s and seniors then commencing with U19s? Keeps kids in the junior system for an extra season being the main argument.

Bring 4 sides up then.So if Parkside do leave that means div:1 will again have that bye with 3 sides coming up next year.
That was the case from 2016-18, with the last two of those seasons being a single U19s division.Anyone heard rumour going round of junior comp being extended to U17s and seniors then commencing with U19s? Keeps kids in the junior system for an extra season being the main argument.
Havent been to Skinner in a long time. Did they keep the same size ground dimensions as it was prior to re-development?Think WD will beat CS in the 2nd Semi but not by much.
The unknown is the game is at Skinner where no WFNL game has been played this season. Is a big open ground where the wind could be a factor.
YSE should beat Hoppers in the 1st semi with the game at Yarraville. Impressed with Hoppers last week at Willy so they're a chance if they bring that form.
Probably not quite as wide now, but still a huge ground.........elite surface nowHavent been to Skinner in a long time. Did they keep the same size ground dimensions as it was prior to re-development?
The Bulldogs spent a lot of money there with the Council and put in a 2 lane running track inside the fence, re-laid the surface and fitted out the remaining building. The Dogs did their 2023 Pre-season there while Whitten was refurbished. Players feedback was that it was a hard surface but that was summer.Havent been to Skinner in a long time. No current season stats available
Who uses Skinner Reserve these days? Is it the Western Jets?Havent been to Skinner in a long time. Did they keep the same size ground dimensions as it was prior to re-development?

WD won by 7 after extra time. 3rd draw of the season for WD over the year, incredible.

The Dogs put several hundreds of thousands of $ into the Skinner redevelopment doubt soccer is still played there. Thought the plan was to have their VFL and VFLW teams train there.Soccer
There's a game of soccer on there tomorrow. Probably why Yarraville is hosting the other semi. The Dogs put several hundreds of thousands of $ into the Skinner redevelopment doubt soccer is still played there. Thought the plan was to have their VFL and VFLW teams train there.
HCFC have not been at full strength all year every week had 3 or 4 missing, the last 2 weeks they have been at full strength. No Injuries etc; TOUCH WOOD !Hoppers keep marching on. I’m probably looking too far ahead but a Hoppers v Werribee GF would be massive.
Not overly surprised by their win today, saw Hoppers demolish Altona last week and was very impressed.Hoppers keep marching on. I’m probably looking too far ahead but a Hoppers v Werribee GF would be massive.
Interesting you say HC adapted to the wind better today because that's exactly the same story last week v Altona. Was a vicious cross wind at Willy and Altona couldn't cope with it, HC did.Went to today's game and Hoppers were just too good, too big and adapted to the windy conditions better. Recorded the last half of the game and will upload on YT in a couple of day. I'll post the link on this page. Massive 2 weeks coming up.
Skinner is like a graveyard. No atmosphere and kiosk is a disgrace. WRFL should be ashamed of themselves for playing matches at that facility. Surface is good rest is terrible. Not overly surprised by their win today, saw Hoppers demolish Altona last week and was very impressed.
YSE fail again in the 1st semi on their home ground.
Will be a mighty Prelim, CS played extra time yesterday, be interesting if that has an affect, bit disappointed it's at Skinner, why not Yarraville? Much better for spectators.
I'm pretty sure they know the facilities aren't great, not sure where else they could have played.Skinner is like a graveyard. No atmosphere and kiosk is a disgrace. WRFL should be ashamed of themselves for playing matches at that facility. Surface is good rest is terrible.
Am guessing, with AFL,AFLW & VFL teams training all week on Whitten, the WFNL were politely told sorry, nuh. Similar story with Chirnside Park.why the farrkk can't the league orghanise Whitten Oval for it's premier football.
Senior Div 1 finals.
All Div 1 junior finals should be there as well (given all on one Sunday)
Have you ever been to a final there ??why the farrkk can't the league orghanise Whitten Oval for it's premier football.
