ur probly 1 of those u18 players that thought you'd walk straight into the senior group and have been put in the ressies in the 1st couple of practice games and are now dirty on the coachin staff and tha club so your lashing out at the club under all ur alias names. do the club a favor and stop posting ur crap and leave the club if ur not happy

How many clubs have you played for in the last 4 years mate, Parkside, West Footscray, back to parkside and this year Eseendon gramma 3rds! Are you leaving parkside this year because all us U18 have taken your spot in the reserves:D

No conformation on Devlin .
Big loss to Nth Footscrays forward line if he dont play

No confirmation because he is awaiting a decision with work commitments and has not wanted to string the club along if he can not play.. however he is as fit as he has ever been (outside of time ini AFL) running nearly 25k every couple of days from all reports.

If he is able to with work he will be at North for season 2009 :thumbsu:

why dose everyone think the cobras are going to do well i saw them 2 weeks ago they have the same players they pick up 1 ruck and 1 on baller thats it they still have their soft players simone, azza spotty if that ruck gets injured they call jamie their number 1 recruit is out injured now so there is no improvment they wont make the 5

SEASON 2009 PREDICTIONS

NOTH FOOTSCRAY
after a very good season last year which saw the devils finish runner up its hard to go past them for 2009 premiership favoritisim, with no major departures and with the inclutions of young brendan lucus along with the return of scratcher and a ruckman the devils will certinly be the team to beat.

ALBANVALE
this could be albanvales year to be a true contender, a team that has always been thereabouts have worked very hard over summer to recruit the players that they feel can take the club to the next level, although they have lost hendo and a couple fringe players they have brought in endres and the return of bluey and with young brooks stepping up and the rumor of a new forward the cobras are going to be a strong outfit in 09.

PARKSIDE
the most talked about club during the pre season must be feeling alittle presure to preform with many big name recruits, this will be a side with alot of expirence and with players that are going to course clubs a few headaches, with the likes of davis and sir not to mention juegan parkside will be pushing for a top 3 finish

LAVERTON
this could be the year for laverton to taste finals action, the most improved side lat year looks set to continue with the inclution of class players wells and zarafa and will comp b f winner kennedy in the ruck look a good side, i think alot will depend of injuries with not alot of depth.

YARRAVILLE
abit of unkown dropping back from A grade might work in there favor, very good numbers on the track and a youn list will insure a bright future for the club but if the kids can stand up and support the likes of mainsbridge and davidson who knows how far they can go.

BRAYBROOK
very quite over summer but i beleave will be a side that will continue to develop with no major gains or loses i think that braybrook will be there abouts fighting hard for a finals birth will need braun to have a huge year, depth will be there biggest concern there 2s always struggle.

DEER PARK
not sure what to make of there list, they have lost dippa which will really hurt them but the return of former captin robinson will be a boost, with a disapointing end to 08 and not alot of recruiting think they may stuggle to make the finals but wont be far off.

COBURG
been very quite of late not sure if that is a good or bad thing, there has been alot of ins and outs over summer and they look to have covered there loses, with so many new players it may take some time for the team to gel which may cost them a few wins early and they do have a history of stuggling to win away from home and with a tight com that will hurt.

WYNDHAMVALE
a side that really struggled last year has worked very hard over summer to improve there list and become competitive, with alot of hard work and the inlutions of angwin and dennerly look for plenty of improvement throughout the year maybe even a few wins.

NORTH SUNSHINE
a long year ahead for the roadrunners unfortunetley, dont think they will trouble many sides this year, hopefully they contiue to work and look at what wyndhamvale is doing and know that things can change.

thats just my opinion, all in all it appears that season 2009 looks to be very even and hard to predict should be an exciting season. thoughts?

Good Post.

Still stand by Parkside, Albanvale, Nth Footscray as top 3.

Parkside-There must be a slight concern on Parkside as they where along way off lasy year and with the addition of Sir, Lika and Kavaris will be definetly improved but how much the have improved reamian to be seem. Also a one man team with Davis up forward which is a negative. Stop Patty and it goes along way to beating Parkside. That being said a top 3 finish is on the cards.

Nth Footscray-deserve premiership favourite tag for there performances last year and now Sunshine Heights are not in there way they have a real chance to finally play Div 1 football and i expect them to play in the Grand Final.

Albanvale-from all reports will be improved this year but there are concerns about genuine match winners and class. Very hard workers but have always lacked polish. With the addition of a few quality ex VFL players they should be right in the hunt.

Braybrook-will be there abouts fighting for that final finals positon. Lack height but there spirit and class up forward with Pearce and Sphillious will give the best defence headaches. There concern is ruck, middle and backline.

Laverton-Will be improved but still a fair way of the pace and dont ecpect them to make the finals.

Deer Park-. I have no idea what they will be like.

Coburg- No idea what they will be lilke.

Whydhamvale. Will be improved this year but still have much work to do to catch the middle to top teams.

Nth Sunshine- A remider to all clubs what can happen if a strong administration is not in place. Won a flag in 03, the won 5 A grade games in 04 and was competitive with all teams and five years later cant win a game in Div 2. Wish them all the best in 09.

Finallay Yarraville- I am unsure of where we sit at present. We have some quality players and a heap of youth. Size is a concern and our game we be based on run and carry and taking teams on. Expect a slow start and a powerful finish playing our best football in the second half of the season. I would be dissapionted if we didnt finish in the top 5.

How about Goal Kicking and Best in Comp Predictions.

Goal Kicking Patty Davis- He doesent move out of goal square and parkside kick the ball to him every time so he is a moral for goal kicking providing his kness dont give way and he has most of his shots from the square.

Smokey- Andrew Wills Yarraville.-Been ultra impresed by him pre season a classy footballer who will kick a few goals in 09.

Best in Comp- I really have no idea but will go with Laurance Angwin. He will suffer from the team he is playing for losing so much but if they can win a few games and he can dominate from Centre Half Back i dobt there is a player in the comp better than him abilty wise.

Smokey- Tats or Muratorre from Parkside.

firstly Orchard for parkside kicked in excess of 50 goals for the season last year which obviously means that we dont kick to paddy every time.. although he is our full forward so it kind of makes sense that he kicks afew.

and as for your smokies for the BnF.. your an idiot.

Bit of tounge in cheek champ, so dont take it to personally.

Fair call on Orchard kicking 50 goals, but still think if you stop patty to 3 or 4 u will more than likely beat Parkside. All the best anyways, look forward to round 1.

They have picked up more than that. Ruckman, onballer ( who yes was injured, rolled ankle ) back on deck now, Full back, Full forward, 2 running players and have only lost 1.

Have also heard a rumour that they are talking to an older guy that played a handful of games for Fitzroy, a mate of one of the assistant coaches, unsure of who or any other details.

They finished 3rd last year, so they would have to be in with a show and be top3.

North Footscray have similar squad from last year and parkside have recruited well after finshing 4th last year.

So at this stage u would have to say that they are the 3 stand outs untill another side proves otherwise ???? ( Best 3 sides from last year outside of Sunshine Heights )

No chance. Orchard kicked around 30 for the season and was the second highest at Parkside

C'mon Ace. Stop staying 'They'. You are a Cobra and be proud of it!

Heard you got pumped by Roxy Park last weekend. Now the Devils always struggle in practice matches, but Roxy Park! Did Hanni Harb play?

LOL, funny how things get blown out of proportion hey !

Not that it matters but, It was a 3 quarter game in which we kicked into the wind twice, we also had 15 players out due to one of the boys getting married. There were probably 6 players play that will play round 1, and the margin was 4 goals.

Hanni didnt play and from all reports they had 3 or 4 out.

This week we are going up to Cohuna to play and stay for the weekend. We are hoping we have a close to round 1 squad going minus maybe 4 . Should give us a match better indication of where we are at and being our 3rd hitout should be better for last couple of runs. :thumbsu:

This must be Orch are you trying to talk up your goal count again, mate you only kicked around 30 no need to tell porky pies

Actually had a look and it was 36 goals for the year.

Thats a crap return for a forward in a comp that has teams that get beat by 40 goals. It is possible that those 36 goals come against Nth Sunshine and Whdyhamvale last year.

I dont think its anything to big note about in this standard of competition 36 goals as a permanant forward.

Still stand by my comments stop Davis you will beat Parkside and Parkside predicatabilty will be a massive negative this year. If Davis goes down you guys will struggle to kick winning scores.

i know you probably know more about parkside since i was only there at every game.. but i will garuantee you it was around the 50-mark.

whos got praccies this week?

LOL, I have just read your last 16 posts, your no Parkside person with comments like Parkside lacks the toughness of the Devils to really make an impact .[17/2/09] PLEASE////////////

Dont you rate sedat as a good replacement?
He wants to play forward.
Kon can play forward.
Nathan can play forward.
Plus all the resting on-ballers.
There's a lot more options than just Paddy!
They will be a very even side but in saying that, Paddy kicked a ton last year(and missed 6 games) and with the quality of pick-ups, there's a big chance he will kick another!

Sedat is a quality player, not sure about him playing forward tho.

Kon is a quality player but will need to play midfield.
Nathan can play forward and would be handy forward but would need to be in better shape than last season
.
There is a few other options than paddy but going on last year its Paddy kicking 60 percent of your score.

No doubt Parkside are one of the teams to beat.

Cain, how many teams in 2Div have F/Back-C/H/Back to go with Paddy and Sedat plus a fit Nathan on a F/Flank.

Thats 3 talls in the Forward line.
