I wasn't Pat Davis's biggest fan this season but I would have thought that kicking 100 goals this season including bags of 14, 11, 10 (twice) , 9 and 8 (twice) he may have received more than 3 votes in the Smith Medal. There is always a few blokes that get stiffed every year but thats unbeleivable.
its worse than unbelievable, its an absolute disgrace, i watched himbeat western magpies with sheer strength and class, and kick 10, he musnt of got a vote any other round>???????

Used to enjoy watching Davis even when he was kicking goals against us. Pretty entertaining. Would be interesting to know how many votes he polled when Parkside where at their best in Div1. I don't remember him giving the umps a spray but if he did, could that be a reason why he's not getting votes?

At the club level Paddy Davis became the first person to win the Geoff Rees trophy and drew with Juegan as best and fairest..

all you have to do is look at the article in the paper from thursday. (i think)

hudson kicks 150 goals in a season and polls ninth in the brownlow.
full forwards dont get votes, fact of life.

Does that mean Patty is leaving?Winning that award(Rees)is a automatic

News out of Coburg Districts.....

New Coaches Season 2009

The Coburg Districts Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Conduit as Senior Coach for season 2009 and Daryl Sedgwick as Reserves coach.

The Club would like to thank both Gary Cutler & Brett Carter for their efforts over the past two years in their respective Senior & Reserve coaching roles and on the professional manner in participating in the coaching interview and decision making process and wish them every success in their next coaching endeavours.

IMO Cuts and Carts very very stiff not to get reappointed !!!

Coming from a very good resource ...

Laverton are expected to gain several North Footscray players over the pre season, mainly 2's players.
