Just checked the results! Can anyone shed any light on how Albanvale made such a massive improvement in just one week? I know they are not premiership contenders but after last week they looked to be in for a very long year?
They played West Footscray, enough said, both teams in for long years.

Would think NP had a bigger improvement. Pumped by WF then compete and push PC. Is the Bryan Martyn Oval Fortress a real advantage?

I cant work it out either, WF pump NP, Albanvale beat WF, NP push PC, Is home ground that advantage?

Going by that, Albanvale should pump PC this week

with this sort of competitiveness one would hope we can see as tight a competetion as edfl div 1.
despite having NF and YSE head and shoulders above imo.

Enjoyed my first visit to Saltwater and was impressed by PC with a decent crowd there. Very interested to see the outcome of their next two v Yarraville and NF.

Interesting to be told by PC supporters that this year's PC team is much better than their ammos team of last year.

Think they will be in Divvy one in a few years.

To be fair, most seasons there would be 6-8 changes in personnel no matter what league we were playing in.

But yes being able to pay blokes and playing locally have allowed us to recruit more quality than we have before

Yes, Yarraville vs PC will be match of the round in div 2. Could be a wake up call for either/both teams. Don't forget NF is thereabouts too. Reserves result a good pointer on depth as well.

I think its clear that Yarraville and North Footscray are the best 2 in the comp. They have earned that right with sustained results.

Everyone is still feeling each other out, seems to be really even across the board.

For me anyone of Parkside, Manor Lakes, Point Cook or Newport could be 3 and 4.

TT stop underselling the Bulldogs. You are clear favourites given the list assembled and the $$ being handed out.

The most suprising is Manor Lakes .......hardly lost any from last season picked up Green from Nth and a few from Hoppers ressies and a couple of others but they are winless. By the way TT I agree with Pushtothecone quit underselling Point Cook.......lol

Going by the ladder mate, we have beaten sides who have only won 1 or 0 games in 3.

This week, if we beat or compete with Yarraville, then i will place us up there, however we havent got the runs ln the board to be in the conversation at the moment.

We play both in next 2 weeks, then we will know where we sit.

What did you make of the eagles? The ground has always been the worst to play on

Yarraville looked a cut above west Footscray, a lot of repeat entries in the 25m (50m) forward line that was super crowded by the small area, be interesting how they go against point cook and north Footscray.
