WTF is with chicks these days?

Good post.

It's a fair point mate - should respect be given automatically or should it be earnt? Could make an entirely new thread on this.

I tend to go with the former actually (if I know nothing about that person), however in saying that, my point still stands - I lose respect for most females of gen y that I meet in some way or another.

A lot of these girls are straight out of school and haven't had a chance to experience life yet. They haven't travelled, they haven't had a serious relationship, they haven't done a lot of things that someone a little bit older might have. I look at them and think they're immature and like little kids a lot of the time, but they can't help that. It's the ones who start off like that, and live for the weekend until they're in their 30s, without experiencing the world around them that I have little respect for.

I've started reading a book. Backed up by science too so they say.

Some interesting stuff.

Why Men Don't Listen And Women Can't Read Maps - Allan & Barbara Pease
If that book is anything like their Definitive Body Language book, then there is probably about as much science between its covers as is there is to be found in the Bible.

What a shocker.

If you want a book that will give you insights into Male v Female, check out:

It is at least mostly backed by science (even if its author claims that it is all backed by science).

And try to read it before you ever get married.

If you are a man who is already married... probably best give it a miss.

Is a mass cull in order, or can we find some chicks with clean slates?

European women is the answer. They have their own mentalnesses, but they are far more dealable with mentalnesses.

Wow... I saw the alert pop up and I was wondering wtf this was..

I still think chicks are ****ed. My current gf, whom I just got back together with recently, is really no exception to the rule but I must be a sucker for punishment.

I'd be interested into your insights into women and relationships Bosk

While I am generally looking for different outcomes than the rest of you gents, I found European chicks to be, as a rule, really good sorts. They could also hold their drink better than a lot of local chicks, my favourites were English birds who drank pints instead of halves. You could almost always guarantee yourself a fun night hanging out with them.

Yeah, I now have a rule, if she's not from Eurozone itself, I'm not even bothering.

Euro girls tend to be far less materialistic and "trend obsessed" than their Anglophone world sisters. They tend to be far more phlemegatic and "real world" about relationships and sex (this can prove a double edged sword for guys raised on Anglophone attitudes, but once you get your head around it, it is generally for the better for mine). In short, they are far less uptight and prone to behaving according to how they think other think they should behave. More comfortable in their skins.

Also, Euro men, especially from the continent, tend to hold some fairly outdated attitudes to gender that the women find (quite rightly) rather patronising and offensive.

Thus an Aussie guy who can look after himself to the extent of knows his way around a kitchen and can at least operate a washing machine, ticks a lot of boxes for them.

I'd be interested on your view on the other perspective as it were ... Australian men. Perhaps we are all just turning shit.

I wouldn't date anyone under 35, my other half is 5 years older than me, because if you haven't got your shit together by then gay or not, it's unlikely it's ever going to happen for you.
As a rule I like Aussie ****s more than English ones. The climate and lifestyle here, as a rule makes them easier on the eye, and I just find them more laid back than our British brethren.
If you want hilarious ****s, some of the Afrikaans boys who grew up in a conservative families don't so much come out of the closet, they more hack through it with an axe wearing a full length evening gown and a pink feather boa.

I always liked Italian, Greek, Maltese type chicks.

If they want you they tell you straight up, if they don't, they'll tell you to p*** off.

They don't play games

Problem there is how much you spend on hair removal. Personally prefer the more North Western Europeans (France, Belguim, Holland, German, Scandanavian), educated, individualistic, but not feminists.

pretty much agree and love o/s girls, particularly irish and english.

but i wonder how much of it is that when you get people around people of a different culture they just loosen up a fair bit, regardless of which country you're in at the time.

i've heard so many english and irish guys so how much they enjoy the aussie girls cause they're a laugh compared to the girls from back home.

Yeah, a few of my Aussie gay male friends have said similar about English guys. A bit too "faggy" were their words.

Interestingly, the same guys much prefer West Coast American gays (san Fran) to the New York types on similar grounds.

I went to the only openly gay bar in the Middle East, in Lebanon, on the grounds of "Well, this should be entertaining at the very least".

To say it was full on would be an enormous understatement. I lasted one very hurriedly swilled down beer but still got touched up more times than Lindsay Thomas pretends he does in a quarter of footy. No quarter asked nor given in there. Still, a gay bloke I'd been chatting with at the hostel who took me stayed and all night and had an absolute blast.

Yep, this would be my preference as well ... and a good assessment of the general characteristics.

A Belgian girl I was seeing caused a near riot in my local inner city pub among female friends when insisted she wasn't a feminist.

Also, hot as ****.

The English are a nation of bottoms.

Yep, sometimes a stereotype is a stereotype for a reason.

The Scot gay guys I knew were all pretty sound. Well, some were ****wits in the way any group of people you randomly meet through work and friends etc.

I appear to have a weird affinity with Scottish lesbians. Literally Some Of My Best Friends are Scottish lezzers.

But I mean come on, why is it that chicks these days are never normal? There is always SOMETHING that is an issue, or a problem that might put a wall up between us.
Maybe it's you. What is the common dinominator here?

Examples of said issues include:
3 chicks in the past year all telling me a suspiciously similar story about how they were r*ped when they were 15
Maybe Rape is more common than you thought?
recent ex is only 21 and on anti-depressants...
You never state what the medications are for.
another chick has an abusive ex bf who, if is to meet me, might not end up well for me (despite not taking into consideration that I've seen this bloke and I know I would kick his arse.)
How do you know? Jeff Fenech was a little bloke and I bet he could tear you a new one. Jake King looks unassuming in a suit. Could you take him?
not to mention the frustrating task with 99.5% of chicks you chat up these days of having to battle the "oh but all you guys are just in it to **** me around and treat me like crap" stuff they bring up before they even get to know you.
They're probably right.
99.5% of boys are lying scum that are only interested in one thing.

"A mass cull"? Isn't this a prime example of why GEN Y is so disparaged.

Always found Scandinavian girls to be the pick of the bunch, particularly Swedish girls, they are mostly blond hotties but still fun and easy to get along with. They aren't up themselves like hot blond chicks here because they're a dime a dozen in Sweden.

Agree that European chicks in general seem more fun and easy going, pommy chicks are usually good fun too and can drink like blokes which is impressive.
