It’s funny that in AEW wrestles appear sporadically and people praise it saying it keeps things fresh but if WWE have people that wrestle sporadically also it’s completely different?

It is comical that you think Cena showing up 5 times a year is in any way comparable to AEW talent having a match every month and doing promos in-between.

So what happens at AEW if CM Punk doesn’t wrestle at least once a week or fortnightly and just appears for promos or commentary?
Nothing? In no way is it the same as Cena coming in 3 weeks before summerslam getting a title shot, losing, and then disappearing again, or Brock a month before Saudi, Edge reappearing and then being written off a week or so after the “big” PPV. Edit: forgot Oldberg, who also resurfaced just before PPV, got destroyed, and did a single vignette to almost certainly set up a rematch in Saudi. Then he will disappear again until his title match at Mania.

All Out was last week, and Punk was on both shows the following week.
pretty sure he’ll be on most Dynamites for quite some time to come.

Yet all of them have come and put over Roman and Lashley by taking the loss in big high profile matches. I’m not a fan of Goldberg and rather not see him but Brock and Cena have proven for more than a decade they are main event. Come back for big matches puts eyes on it, bums in seats have / will put over Roman.

That’s a completely different argument.
Of course it does, they have massive wider appeal/draw than the current wwe wrestlers. But every time they take a main event slot, it’s one less guy who has a chance to grab Vince’s brass ring.
And it’s also the same thing over and overl whether it’s Cenas rah rah speeches (and then leave), Brock prize fighting up to a big PPV and then leaving, or Goldberg winning or fighting for a title shot at every big PPV by seemingly default.
Gets pretty stale for the more committed viewers.

Good SD. Ridiculous that the still fairly straight down the line type character of Lesnar has now evolved considerably more (and made himself miles more interesting and less predictable) than stale as shit John Cena has in the entire last 15 years. Always wanted to hear him talk more because it's no BS and it sounds like he freakn means what he says.

Not sure what Vega and Carmella are complaining about, pretty ordinary in the ring and zero interest in their matches. No one gives a stuff they got cut because of time wise. Think more people would be annoyed when guys like KO and Cesaro aren’t on the card or show.

it's more because the show was 1 day before the 20th anniversary of 9/11 where Vega's father died.

Surprises are less and less common these days. Smart to tease the cash in, and even better to follow through. Good mix up, fresh, and hopefully leads to a decent Bobby Lashley/Big E feud. Lashley has been a highlight amongst lowlights on RAW this year and E is always a fan fav.
Opens the door though for Goldberg to get a win over Lashley in Saudi unfortunately.

Good on Big E

In saying that....

This was done to keep Fox happy because they have been ripped off by WWE in regards to what they are receiving compared to ESPN with Smackdown.

I can't see E having it longer then 2 months max.

Clearly it was a ratings grab after AEW stuff lately and possible clearing the decks for the draft coming up, maybe Lashley is off to SD.

And they would probably prefer a baby face Raw champion to go against Reigns at Survivor Series. 'The one time of the year that raw and smackdown super'.. oh wait. :drunk:
