or they say 'screw it' and do a "wildcard match", even though I hate those.
Quite a few apparently. A big traditional PPV shouldn't be a bunch of filler. WWE still has a ridiculous amount of talent and 5 hours of prime time FTA and cable TV time. Their planning and effort for this has been lazy beyond words.

I see Petey Williams produced the Woods vs Reigns match on SD, no wonder it was garbage. I still don't understand why you'd have Xavier Woods of all people be booked to look strong against Reigns, you just make a guy like Reigns look so weak when he's struggling to beat a guy who is so far below him. Not a coincidence that SD viewership has dropped since Woods started being pushed more.

Viewership across both WWE and AEW has dropped, not a Woods thing. Timeslots and sporting clashes don't help but probably wrestling fatigue? There is so much content out there right now.
Did they trade writers at the draft too ? SD hasn't been horrible but it seems like the shows have switched quality and now RAW has been the better show since the draft.

Well I'm being deliberately hyperbolic but since Woods started getting a push viewership has started decreasing below 2 million for the first time in a long time. Doesn't help that Reigns has no challenger.
I wouldn't even say that honestly, RAW still seems like it's the worst it has ever been.
I agree, I was stunned at the amount of offence and control Woods was given. I understand they may feel they’ve built him up as KOTR, but regardless, he’s not on the same stratosphere as Reigns.
They’ve done a good job of protecting their number 1 asset overall, but that was a bad call.

Disagree and you will find in AEW Omega had some matches with some mid card guys and it wasn't a one way squash. Danielson facing off against Evil Uno coming up to. Reigns is built differently in terms of size but he has never been a "monster" like a Brock or Braun.
Maybe it’s just that Woods has never really appealed to me, as a singles competitor at least. Just thought he was the wrong guy I’d let get a good showing in vs. Reigns. I’m all for the big bad heel looking vulnerable occasionally though.

Yeah and i thought it sucked when they did it with Kenny too, same way I feel with them doing it with Punk and Bryan.
Main event guys shouldn't be having competitive matches with lower card guys. They should be 2-3 minute squashes maximum.

2 night ppvs are just stupid. I hated aew saying they are continuing 4 hr ppvs. Give me a 2.5 hr ppv.

Like there is only 4 ppvs in a year for AEW but yeah would prefer if they were 3hrs.
I get that. But I personally struggle to watch anything for 4 hrs straight. But I get that I'm not like a lot of people as well. But two nights is just stupid. I don't know if there is enough wrestlers anywhere for two nights.

I don't know why they don't just bring back the GM role, Adam and Sonya are basically playing that role anyway so why not just give them the title of GM and put one on each brand.

Clearly they want someone to eat a Claymore for the early elimination.
I hate these “ stacked” match ups. They would be better off with 1 or 3 - 4 person traditional survivor matches.
No point having Rollins KO Balor Lashley all on the same team, the Smackdown team in comparison in extremely weak.
The brand shit kills it.
