Something like that would be pretty cool, Mero.

However, I doubt you'd go on tangents (which is a good thing). I really hate the way HFK continually employ snarky sarcasm when talking about kits. Who do they think they are?

Lightens it up a bit. Not saying it's something that Mero should use however. I like the way HFK go about their presentation. I remember a couple of years ago when they introduced the change kit pages for each team I got quite excited

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I like Dave's site, HFK, but he's got a team of guys working for him.
There are a conglomerate of guys designing the kits, and others writing reviews of them.
HFK would be the product of something like what Mr E is talking about, where people chip in.
The only disclaimer is, remembering a camel is a horse designed by a committee, that I would suggest we do things by invitation.
I hereby invite Mr Eagle to send me stuff.
He is free to invite one other to either design the jumpers/uniforms (using my template, which I will supply, in Illustrator, not Photoshop) or design the website. At this stage most of the graphics are complete, in terms of jumpers. I have got to 1987 for the uniforms.
That person can accept or decline, after which Mr E is free to choose another.
I am free to do whatever I want with the site.
I would like to keep in touch outside of BF, so I would look to keep in contact either by email or Facebook.

Any other rules anyone wants to suggest?

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Mero, are you going to include the GWS jumpers that they wore in the nab cup this year in their section?

Also, you have the royal blue eagles jumper being worn between 2008-2009 instead of 2008-present.

Right now GWS are not regarded as an AFL club.
Therefore they do not qualify for inclusion into the preseason comp, in the same way Swan Districts are not included for the game Collingwood wore the yoke, or Glenelg the game Richmond wore the Red & Yellow stripes.
In 2012 they will be included.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Well, I've known him for 10 years, even know his real name, and he's plenty talented at both web stuff and Illustrator.
And should we get into legal trouble, he can defer to someone within his profession.

PS been thinking about the advertising thing.
The AFL use my site, the research and the graphics, as their own.
Not only that, other sites use the graphics, and they're making money off it.
So I am thinking whatever advertising is most profitable should be an option.

what website is HFK?

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I like you sites layout better Mero, your site feels easier to navigate.
Great site that, the reason why Mero's is a lot easier to navigate is because there is a lot less teams etc. If HFK had the same layout as Mero's it would be impossible to navigate.

It's easy to navigate because it's simple and you know where everything is. However, there are improvements that can be made just so the navigation is more "efficient". Less scrolling down pages, that sort of stuff. :):thumbsu:

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I think there was a talk about this before but shouldn't the Melbourne Shanghai jumper be on your site?

Or are you only putting jumpers from the actual season on your site?

Only ever put the actual jumpers worn in real games.
At one stage I didn't even put the preseason jumpers, but because the AFL recognise the games I thought I should too.
Practice/Exhibition match jumpers are not included.
And I don't forsee them ever to be included.
