Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Sorry, what did the Shanghai jumper look like? I recall it being on the news, but i've totally forgotten.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

It had a dragon on the side.

Do you mean footy jumpers?
I could suggest the site in the title of this thread as a start.

if you are looking for other sports:
Ice Hockey: http://www.nhluniforms.com/
Gridiron: http://www.weirdwolf.net/FFP/1970s/index.htm and http://nfluniforms.blogspot.com/
Baseball: http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dressed_to_the_nines/database.htm
(So big it takes it's own search engine)

And that's all I know if.
There is probably a basketball one, but I don't have any interest in it at pro level.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I meant all football kits as in the world game of football known as soccer, but thanks for those sites, particularly the gridiron one, appreciated

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I am up to 1987.
Everything after that I am still in the process of completing.
And in one respect, still deciding how to do it.
Up until 1987 clubs only wore one jumper, with two different coloured shorts.
From 1987 and on, clubs wore up to 6 different jumpers per season.
(Essendon 2010; Home, Clash, Anzac Day, Dreamtime, TAC Seatbelt & Clash for Cancer)

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

You could have 4 different jumper spots (home, away, pre-season and one-off) and for teams that have more than one jumper in a category could be animated so it cycles through (similar to what you did with the different coloured '3' logos on the sponsor guide you made), not sure if you can do that on your website though.

Not too sure about the animations as you could miss info, say you're browsing quite quickly and clicking through you might not notice there is more than one guernsey. Still a good idea though.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I was thinking something like this:
http://www.weirdwolf.net/FFP/1990s/1999.htm#

See Tampa.
A graphic with all of them, but if you click on Home, you get some, then if you click on Road, you get those.

Maybe have just the Home jumper, but when you click on it, the larger graphic shows all of them.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

My suggestion is either have each club in rows or have a seperate page for different types. i.e. click on 2010, then have links for home, away, heritage, one-off, etc. When you click on these they come up with each clubs guernseys for that category, much like you have now. In cases where teams have more guernseys, just put them next to each other.

Another suggestion I have to add to your current setup is to have the backs and away kits (white shorts) appear when you click on the image to make it full size

Awesome site by the way Mero, never had the opportunity to thank you personally. One of the best AFL resources I've ever come across :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Don't know if you want that many new pages. When I browse the website I find it easy to use. I don't think it would be necessary to have links for each year a jersey change occurred.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

The website now has two sections if you didn't already know LC16, this discussion is about how to set out the new 'season by season' section. You can still view the guernseys club by club if you want to
