Agreed, this is only the 2nd time I've watched this but that kid is a long way off the others, he has no range at all and he stuffed the second song as well but they chose to ignore it. There was bit where he came down the stairs to the left of the screen where he messed the words up, then high 5'd some boppers in the crowd, you can tell from his reaction after the song.

First song was awful, I agree with RedFoo and I usually hate his comments- there was none of Whitney's passion in that song, was very safe, and didn't work. 2nd song from Dami was spot on and see I am not disliking her all the time. Loved that performance.
You really are one of the worst posters i have seen around here (rainfall says hello). You say earlier in this thread you dont want dami to scream etc- well her first song she sang tonight was absolutely PERFECT she sung it in her own way without oversinging it and did not try to carbon copy the original. This performance was as good as the second but with the idiot judges playing politics they can't say everything is good.

I hate belter songs, but if you pick one, you have to deliver it. Watch Whitney singing it, and then watch Dami. Some songs you just don't mess with. Vocally she sang it fine, but it didn't have the Whitney moment. I am sure Dami understood what the judges were saying. She was great the 2nd performance though, no complaints, and I thought that was the performance of the night. First song was average. Mind you all 4 were pretty average first up, I guess if I had to pick one from the first songs it would be 3D.

She defended herself- most people can do that to get a vote or two. It was a poor song choice, in fact I said it before the show that it didn't suit anyone. There wasn't a Whitney moment and you need to have that in this song, you have to stay true to the song. All 4 of them tried to be too different for their first song. Her background has nothing to do with it. I think Danni made a really poor choice and I think she knew it afterwards. Vocally Dami was fine, but not great. It was a safe vocal without being a Whitney vocal, and that is what I am saying. Awful was probably the wrong word- average is probably the better word for the first performance.

Overall, has to be the WORST top 4 show ever seen on X Factor though, you would not see it be this bad in the UK/US versions.
