Same here but my end of year holidays seem to diminish a little more each year.
I can see a time in the next few years where I'll be working right through every year.

Funnily enough, this is the longest I have ever had off over the Xmas/New Year period.
Under normal circumstances, I would have gone back to work last Monday.

Was just what I needed, after the year I have had work wise.
Retrenched in August, spent about 6 weeks in a crap role, and moved on to another role and whilst it is better than the previous role, it's still not great.

My wife has gone about it that way. As of Feb she will be working from home with 2 very solid clients on the books.
 
Gotta hate waiting for a confirmation on a contract role within the government after being the preferred candidate. The role is meant to start next Monday but to me I am still unemployed and looking for work.
 
Despite suggesting that the cricket wouldn't really start due to rain, wouldn't be any good if they did, I still let myself be dragged out to the Adelaide oval. Its been so much fun watching the grass grow....
