Thought Max spoke far too much in Episode 1, Ivan's been relegated to a couple of words occasionally now. Other than this, he's been a good addition.
How good was the Professor in ep 3 talking about wellness etc?

havent listened to that epi yet but will do.

isnt wellness and stuff like that seen as soft and PC though?

Really enjoyable, one of my favourite episodes since they started this. The 55 minutes felt like 25 minutes. But I'm into this area, so I'm a little biased. Would have enjoyed hearing his thoughts on sleep and his advice surrounding that. But they ran out of time.

I thought he gave some really good suggestions for people to try. Some I thought were not especially practical for the average listener, and he was careful to emphasise about getting checked-out before implementing anything too new.

Yep, he's fantastic. You might remember that he used to occasionally be on SEN with Craig Harper

I think people have always been interested in keeping healthy and the do's and don't about eating.

I have to say when covid started I did a few of the things he recommended and I look and feel as good now as I've had in ages.

The main things for me was no more eating biscuits or lollies and eating 2 big meals a day and not the 3 normal meals that we all grew up being told.

I like that he is big on life balance and that his theories include being allowed to treat yourself sometimes as well.

Im listening today.

Why didnt sam correct the professor in his pronunciation of "H"?

I am enjoying the episode. Good food for thought. Do you know what software the professor sold to fitness first etc?

Someone message Sam and tell him that that origin of the word "f*ck" is a myth. It's even on Wikipedia . :p

"The Oxford English Dictionary states that the ultimate etymology is uncertain,...
"The word has probable cognates in other Germanic languages, such as German ficken ('to ****'); Dutch fokken ('to breed', 'to beget'); Afrikaans fok ('to f*ck');[9] Icelandic fokka ('to mess around', 'to rush');[10] dialectal Norwegian fu'kka ('to copulate'); and dialectal Swedish focka ('to strike', 'to copulate') and fock ('penis').[8] This points to a possible etymology where Common Germanic *heck(k)ōn-from the verbal root *fug- ('to blow')[1]
False etymologies
........One of these urban legends is that the word f*ck came from Irish law. If a couple was caught committing adultery, the two would be punished "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge In the Nude", with F*CKIN written on the stocks above to denote the crime. A variant misconception alleges church clerks to have recorded the crime of "Forbidden Use of Carnal Knowledge". Another is that of a royal permission granted in the Middle Ages: the Black Death and the scarcity of uncontaminated resources drove towns to control both human interactions and population growth. Supposedly many towns required permission to intermingle or to make babies. Hence, no couple could do either without royal permission (usually from a local magistrate or lord) which required placing a sign visible from the road that said Fornicating Under Consent of King, which was later shortened to F*CK. This story is hard to document, has persisted in oral and literary traditions for many years, but has been proven false.[14]

Nicola Charles again for third time, seriously unbearable listening to her previously. Guess I will give it a miss this week

Let me guess......they talk about why she wasn't invited back to Neighbours for the finale.

Will also be interesting if they talk about Matthew Guy's chief of staff and the dodgy business they have been getting up to.

Nicola Charles was a fruitloop the first time she was on...but it was something different and I appreciated that they gave her a platform to spout her bullshit.

The second time was more insane and got pretty tiresome. But once again, I appreciated that they gave her a platform to spout her bullshit.

The third time, she's just a campaigner that needs to be silenced. Not because of her controversial opinions or conspiracy theories....but because she is uninteresting and adds no value to the podcast or to society. Just let her disappear into obscurity.

Next time she's on, I won't bother listening.

Not sure they’d talk about the chief of staff.
