Dog's supporters: "It's because the opposition are undisciplined"

I don't know what you Sydney folks are complaining about. Umpiring of the dogs only cost you a flag. They give out one of those each year. Cost us a 4 peat, and they've only given one of those out ever - and none since they changed the rules so the team that finishes top no longer gets a replay if they lose the first grand final game.

Nah, the apology you're thinking of is for for 2006 premiership. Although I don't think it was umpire related.

Cant find the 2006 apology anywhere.

But the 2016 GF one definitely happened.

I really dont care. I was cheering on the Dogs. The AFL admitting how poor the umpiring was against the Swans was just a bonus LOL all round.

But honestly, why do many people say that Richmond’s bad differential is because of gamestyle but don’t say the same thing about Bulldogs’ positive differential? Honest question.

It’s strange to see quite a few people doing this. Putting one outlier down to their gamestyle and the other outlier down to some conspiracy just to suit their narrative. From where I am sitting, either something weird is happening with both or both can somewhat be explained by their style of play. I am leaning towards both being explained by the gamestyle tbh.

It would be nice to see someone actually collate a breakdown of these free kicks and what they are for. For example, does Richmond cop a lot of HTB free kicks and don’t get them back as often and is Bulldogs the opposite of this? If that’s the case, maybe Bulldogs have the best tackling technique and are the strongest at breaking a tackle while Richmond have the worst tackling technique and are the weakest at breaking a tackle.

I don’t think anyone can be bothered at this point lol, but that may explain the outliers. Or not. Maybe we look at that and notice that the umps just tend to favour Bulldogs and are harsher on Richmond.

Didn't the AFL purposely bring in a rule to stop sliding into the legs? Or it doesn't apply to teams with red, white and blue in their team colours?
This wasn't even the worst one of the day. I was going for the Dogs but everyone could see it wasn’t fairly adjudicated.

i cant recall anybody getting fined for holding the man too much or holding the ball too much or running too far or chopping the arms too many times
but to continually get fined for pushing blokes in the back ?:think: whats that saying?
