Your fantasy WWF v WCW match up?

This was something that when WCW was still around people tried to come up with their fantasy WWF v WCW interpromotional match-up. What was yours that never eventuated even after the botched Invasion angle?

Mine...I think how much better the Invasion angle could have been leading up to a 'winner take all' match. We did get one at Survivor Series 2001, but it could have been way better.

The following is the match that I think should have happened for the 'winner take all' match they had at Survivor Series, if the whole Invasion angle was done the way many WWF/WCW fans expected. The invasion should really have been just been WWF v WCW. If everyone were not injured/retired, were available, willing to work, big egos, whatever... I would have had the following 5 on 5 Survivor Series 'winner take all' match.

WWF
STEVE AUSTIN, THE ROCK, TRIPLE H, THE UNDERTAKER, SHAWN MICHAELS

vs.

WCW
GOLDBERG, HULK HOGAN, KEVIN NASH, STING, BRET HART

I know it couldn't happen, but this would have been the ultimate inter-promotional match (WWF v WCW) in my opinion, 'Winner Take All'.

Yeh I agree. Although I put the invasion storyline as one of my all time favourites, I always wonder what could have been had the best of both companies been available.

Austin v Hogan is still the one that got away and will never happen because the two can't a agree on finish. It's a shame, leaders of the last two wrestling booms squaring off. Too late to really do it now anyway, both have passed it.

Why handicap Austin with a hack like Hogan? Have you not learned from the Shawn Michaels/Hogan Summerslam match. Shawn had to carry 280 pounds of useless excrement to a half decent match (with a bad back I might add).

Personally, I've always wanted to see a 'proper' match between Bret Hart and Hogan in their primes.

Too bad Hart is too bitter about the whole screwjob to make a comeback to WWE.

Yeah, I've wondered about this one too. They pretty much narrowly missed eachother. By the time the Rock reached main event status HBK was in retirement mode for already a year. When HBK made his comeback, Rock was making movies. I'm sure the idea of such a match had been mooted at Stamford, and could have been done as part of the Rock's one off Wrestlemania matches this decade. Ego thing perhaps? Can't decide on a finish? Would The Rock have to carry HBK too much in a match?

Still, imagine the promos with these two. They pretty much play the same role in two different WWF/E eras, the charismatic arrogant flamboyant cocky type. HBK of the New Generation/early attitude era (mid 90's) v. The Rock of the Attitude Era and beyond.

I've heard the Rock and HBK hate each other and the Rock won't do it. When the Rock used to make occasional appearences a few years ago he said he only wanted to go against young talent to get them over.

hart wouldn't be able to do a match anyway he's had a stroke and his body is absolutely stuffed
